Big game in the offing from Bounanotte tomorrow 🙏🙏🙏

Will be the best player on the pitch, lets hope the rest of the druids around him can support

Should have more assists to his tally if the players he's laid balls on for have finished. Today for Ayew, few times for Vardy in the past few games.

Hopefully can keep fit and in form for the majority of our games. He's going to be so key against teams around us.

That useless dollop was slightly lucky not to get sent off for that. He's an absolute Jonah

Mike Dean mentioned that on a clip I just watched.

Interestingly just when the second half started you could see quite clearly Phillips apologise to Facu

Is Facundo Buenanote worth £58.1M

Apparently that’s what Brighton want for the 19year old Argentinian midfielder according to an article in the Merc  ?

He will be to someone. I doubt we'll be shelling out £60m on him though. I don't think we can afford that sort of risk.

Not Brighton's view

https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/leicester-city-told-facundo-buonanotte-9694378

The CIES Football Observatory, the Switzerland-based data analysts, have this week put together a list of the 100 most valuable under-21 players in world football, using age, contract, performance and many other factors as their guide. Buonanotte, after his impressive start to the campaign, is tied 15th on the list, the 19-year-old deemed to be worth €58.1m.

That works out at £48.4m and so would comfortably be City’s transfer record if that painted an accurate picture of the figure Brighton would charge. City’s biggest spend to date was the £32m, rising to £40m, they spent on midfielder Youri Tielemans.

Interestingly, Buonanotte is one of three players currently at City who make the top 100. Only Brighton and PSG have more representatives on the list.

Winger Abdul Fatawu comes in at 35th on the list at a price of €37.1m (£30.9m), which is way above the £14m they paid Sporting Lisbon for his signature in the summer. Another new recruit, attacking midfielder Bilal El Khannouss, ranks 55th at €26.6m (£22.2m), slightly above the £20m City paid for him in the summer.

i’d support paying £35m for him. Especially if we were getting a  similar figure for Hermansen

he’s as exciting as mahrez, I genuinely think if there’s any possibility we have to try

I agree. I think if we stay up I would go higher to be honest as talent like that doesn’t come along often and he has age in his side. My only concern is that would  we have enough money left in the kitty for the striker we need. All hypothetical for now and we should just enjoy his performances and hope he doesn’t get injured.

I think purely from prem money we’d have around 30m in the kitty. Roughly that’s what teams seem to have available. So with a few sales and spreading out our amortization we should have some spending power if we were to survive. Especially as our wages should be more in line now.

Just need him to be out of the radar of big clubs and for Brighton to have no need for him. The Undav saga last summer shows that they will be willing to budge on a player they don’t want to let go

Agreed, he’ll be worth that (or close) to someone not us. At his age and doing what he’s doing in the toughest league in the world? That number is very realistic. Not only does his game pass the eye test but he’s producing goals and assists.

I think the under the radar ship has long since left the harbour unfortunately. I think our only hope is that if he doesn’t fit the clubs requirements and that he really wants to stay here. If it is just the former I think  there will be other clubs willing and able to pay more. There is a chance albeit small.

Stop doing it to yourself.

Even five years ago, we weren't a club that buys players like Facundo from Brighton.

We were and need to be the club that buys Facundo from Rosario.

Once another Premier League club had gotten there first it's too late. His next move will be to a Champions League club. Us having the money is irrelevant, he won't want another stepping stone.

We got Mahrez from the French second tier before people realised his quality. That's our market, yes we're not active in South America and that's disappointing but we've done well out of France.
