Ipswich away last season was a 7.45pm on a boxing day, tv companies certainly do like to put us Leicester fans through it.

Keeps happening, fixtures are from from random.

Notice how Man City is the adjacent fixture as well, keeps happening also.

You raised this horseshit line back in June when the fixtures were announced, so I'll repeat the logic here. See if you can process it this time.

I don't think they've ever claimed it's random. There's a huge amount of logic and planning around the fixtures and it just makes sense for teams to play at certain times of year.

We played Liverpool on Boxing Day in 1994 (H), 1996 (A), 2015 (A), 2019 (H) and 2024 (A). There's clearly a reason, similar to why we've played Ipswich Town a lot in January over the years.

We want to avoid having "pinch points" on the rail and road network. We also tell the computer to try to minimise travel on Boxing Day and New Year's Day or an equivalent date.

We're ripe for taking on teams in Liverpool, Manchester and Ipswich because of our central location and the distances.

Forget SkySports propaganda … football wasn’t invented in 1992… and Alan Shearer for all his goal scoring prowess is just fifth in the list of all time top scorers in the English top flight.
Jimmy Greaves is the greatest ever league scorer in English football as he scored 357 goals in 516 appearances for Chelsea , Tottenham and West Ham.
He was followed by Steve Bloomer then Everton’s Dixie Dean in third place with 310 goals.
There are other luminary names such as Charlie Buchan, Ian Rush , Tony Cotten, Geoff Hurst , Denis Law and Bobby Charlton who was ranked 30th with 198 goals in 606 appearances.
Dixie Dean at 0.86 had the best goal/game ratio followed by Dave Halliday at 0.81 and Alan shearer scored the most penalties with an incredible 56 goals from the spot.

Yup it’s done on purpose

We’ve played Liverpool in December of every season we’ve been in the Premier League with fans since 2014 bar one (2018/19)

I watched an Overlap / Stick to Football once and found it really difficult, Jill Scott seems nice enough but has absolutely no chemistry with the rest of them. Roy Keane barely acknowledges she’s in the room when she’s speaking lol

The episodes with guests are always really crap. Quite enjoy it when it’s just the 5 of them eating croissants and waffling about what’s gone on that week, I skip the guest episodes now.

I refuse to believe the fixture schedule is completely random

Of course it's not, there's so much logic to be applied when generating them that you'll get repeated patterns, especially as teams don't vary a great deal from season to season.

Wasn't it great when we could just watch football without all this PSR, FFP and clubs taking other clubs to court.

Honestly don't think football's ever been in a worse position in my lifetime when it comes to general discourse. It's just riddled with absolutely boring shit. Bring back debates about the best players or fans.

Agreed. I love football but most debates around it bore me now.

I'm the same.  Any live game or match of the day, I can't be bothered with the analysis, interviews etc.  It goes on at kick off and immediately off at the final whistle.  They all say the same b0llocks anyway.  There's a good clip of Brian clough telling motson that nobody wants to listen to you talking about the game, just show more of the game . Well said Brian....below....about 3 mins onwards
