If we were to buy him back from Chelsea on a five year contract at the price they paid am I right in thinking that wouldn't cause them any FFP issues and we could then amortise the transfer fee over the five years?

Why would we pay the same price? For a player that won’t have been playing.

Would usually agree but given how Marianakis has made his money (people trafficking, heroin trafficking, helping Putin to evade sanctions), they can get in the bin.

This is the type of problem where I blame the game/rules (and lack thereof) than the players.

Maybe on the pitch but off it they are worlds apart, KDH a far classier person

Is Drinkwater still a bricklayer?

It’s the control Maresca puts into football matches. Some people hate it, but it gives consistency.

win today and they are firmly in the title fight

Called it the day he moved to Chelsea, nothing was more obvious, feel sorry for him.

Feel sad for him...he didn't want to go and now he never plays....career ending move potentially.....let's loan him back in January!

Is  Chelsea vs United the single most boring fixture in football?

I swear no matter the era, no matter the managers or players, it's always, always a boring game.

Peter Drury's technique at key moments of simply shouting out the name of the player doing stuff instead what they are doing, or how they are doing it, leads me to conclude that when he and Mrs Drury are in the boudoir at Drury Towers, and reach the height of their passion, he just yells out "PETER DRURY", and because of this, Mrs Drury secretly hates him, along with the rest of us.

Chelsea v Liverpool maybe.

Or perhaps I still have the mid 2000s Rafa v Jose games stuck in my head.
