Dyche is interesting because his teams will be shit for weeks playing some horrible football but then he'll occasionally win a game and everyone thinks he's a good manager again. Luckily for him he does it enough to survive.

I also find his teams horrific to watch and think he often comes across as a complete cock but I would absolutely say he's a good manager - impossible to take a team of Burnley's relatively meagre resources from Championship mediocrity to European qualification otherwise. They consistently punched well above their weight and though I imagine the takeover at Everton probably means his days are numbered, his job there has again been to keep a shit team in the league and he's done so despite a points deduction and Frank Lampard.

Saints appointing the ex-Roma manager Juric.

Don't know much about him but having a read up on him he appears to be a risk.

Standard stuff from owners without a clue... "WE ONLY WANT TO PLAY ONE WAY!!!"....

Panic sets in..... welcome old school Italian tactics to the core... Ivan Juric lol

Might actually work out quite well for them, 6 month contract says he's only there to keep them up and they'll revert to a preferred option though.

Without wanting to go all Merson or Sutton, and I know we've done the same thing, although you could argue ours is up and coming at least, but it must be pretty annoying for young coaches (especially British ones) 3 sacked managers and all gone to foreign coaches who have never managed here before. 2 of which are pretty random ones too lol

You could flip that and say they replaced 3 young coaches who had been given a chance? (i'm being kind to steve... but in Manager years he's not exactly ancient lol)

Southampton getting Ivan Jurić in. Weird planning for the Championship.

6 month contract.

They will wait and see what happens with Danny Rohl and Sheff Weds.

If he gets them promoted they've ****ed it but if he doesn't I imagine he'll be Southampton manager next season!

Ah. Keep seeing 18 months quoted.

To be fair i've seen a range of quote. I wonder if it's 18 with an end of season break clause?

Dyche probably won't survive the Everton takeover, but he'll be pretty high on the top of any relegation threatened club's list if they sack a manager by October.

Carney Chukwuemeka and Ben Chilwell told they can and will probably leave Chelsea in January.

Would take both for the right price.

Not Chilwell for me thanks. Too injury prone.

chubacca would genuinely be a very smart move. Might take some time to grease the wheels but he’s some player

Chilwell isn't coming back here, no chance.

Which coaches, though? In the Championship you have Wilder, Parker, Carrick at the top. Cleverley is new then you head down to the likes of Rooney, Rowett.

Potter doesn't seem to want any job, Southgate is having a break. I doubt anyone available is more qualified, really.

You are right of course, and I wasn't exactly clammering for any British options when we were looking lol

Just a sad state of affairs really with so few British managers in the premier league and even the championship are looking elsewhere for managers these days.

Don't quite understand the Rohl hype tbh; possibly it's because of his age.

He took Wednesday out of the relegation zone last season, kept them up, and they're now quite a stable safe club. They're inconsistent, and won't go up, but are currently only 5 points off 6th.

Wednesday were so BAD before he came in last season. He then got a side with a 45 year old Barry Bannan as a talisman to play off form. They’ve been hit and miss this season but they’re completely transformed as a footballing side.
