I think if you look at Pep's five biggest loses at Manchester City we inflicted two of them.

The game you are referring too and also the 4-2 under Ranieri.

Wasn't that the game where Mahrez laid on a goal for Vardy with a magical pass - cushioned a long ball out from defence on the volley directly into the path of Vardy in appalingly wet conditions?

Edit: removing this because it's just occurred to me, far too late really, that "club boss" could mean an owner or executive and not necessarily a manager which is oddly hazy language to use but also very possible.

Somewhat disappointing if the BBC are being deliberately vague to create a more click baity story on such a sensitive subject but still.

I suspect the vagueness might be due to legal considerations rather than fishing for clicks - ie, they can't be too precise or they risk unmasking somebody who hasn't yet been proven to have done anything wrong.

Yeah, I remember when the media reported that a 29 year old who plays for Everton has been arrested and Dominic Calvert-Lewin came out and said, 'it's not me' so everyone immediately knew it was Sigurdsson.

Don’t think Calvert-Lewin had anything to worry about, since he is only 27 and Sigurdson is 35. 😂

No, I understand the vagueness, I'm all for it. In fact, they should probably be a little bit more vague.

The Athletic used the term "a leading figure in Premier League football" which is accurate and appropriate.

I'm possibly being unduly cynical but to me "Premier League boss" as a headline reads like wanting to draw attention by implying a manager.

It's somewhat less of a surprising or dramatic headline than an unpopular pornography mogul with a terrible reputation and shady history has been seen coming out of a police station shortly before both of these stories broke, last year and this.

Hmmmm...one might conclude it's a club owner.

Also , didn't expect a Godspeed fan here

All well and good talking about vagueness but there's only one 'boss' who was around in the 90's to interview staff and still opperates in the league now.

Ahh @Finnegan got there first, my bad lol

There are literally... well, about five of us.

Including Foxestalk owner @Mark who is actually a bigger post rock nerd than anything else!

When I first read it I assumed owner or CEO

EDIT: +1 to the post rock fans!

It feels like the BBC have been overcompensating ever since they gave Cliff Richard a trial by media
