3rd - 10th separated by six points. It's tighter than a smackhead's belt. Someone who's been pretty much written off will get European football and someone who looks nailed on will end up missing out.

Haha yeah least sky and BT will have something to jizz over as the top and bottom are pretty much done.

Not really been keeping up with the table/results etc for obvious reasons, didn’t realise forest are 3rd currently wtf even is this season

Basically other than Liverpool no one has had any consistency with anyone beating anyone throwing up some crazy scores ta boot but Man C, Chelsea & Newcastle are all starting to restore the boring order of things and will no doubt jump Forest within the next 2 games.

It was a fortunate point for them tonight otherwise they would be 4th and within a win away of being 6th, Villa down in 10th are only 6pts from them I don’t see them sticking in top 4 or even top 6.

yes i believe that stat is more damning on the league & it's future than the 6 clubs involved

Normally I'd agree, and in the case of Southampton and Ipswich, it's understandable  but our issues are of our own making, nothing to do with the gulf between the prem and the championship.

Think forest will start to drop now draws will not be to great for them if Man City and Chelsea kick on again . Fingers crossed anyway

Good win for Man C.

VAR almost cost them though as it disallowed a goal (harshly )then Spurs almost scored .

Liverpool could be Champions by Easter .

Bournemouth surprise euro place. Forest falling. But if either achieve it, that is some feet. More so Bournemouth as they play some nice football

Didn’t realise he was on 7, been a few close calls this season.

I thought it was 8 but either way, the record is still safe. If the Ballon D’Or was tomorrow Salah would be a shoe in for me.

That Saliba clearance could well be the difference for them making UCL, game saving tackle and probably cost the splinter dicks two vital points.

Looks a good draw on paper but in reality it's two dropped.

I tell you who is quality, Khusanov at Man City.

Has struggled at times but is young so needs time of course .

For both .

Neither really looked like scoring .

5th might get CL so a sniff for someone as agree Man C and Chelsea ought to be top 4.

I think we were getting progressively worse under cooper. We started off alright but that absolute surrender against Forest was the end of him. I think when you can’t see any glimour of improvement that’s the end of it, the games we won we didn’t deserve to win. The only thing cooper could do was pull a few draws. I think all it it would have made much difference as we wouldn’t have been West Ham with him in charge.

In RVN we trust.

There was an interesting bit on the Guardian Football Weekly on Monday (maybe where the tweet comes from but with a more sensationalist slant) that since the division went down to 20 teams, on average the cumulative total of the teams that have gone up is seven points less every year.

The gap continues to get bigger. People cite that three teams stayed up three years ago but there will be a few outliers and one of those was Forest with the lowest points total to stay up ever.

Surely that can't be right.

That would have the cumulative total of the three teams 20 odd years ago being 140 points extra between them compared to now, when it is circa 60/70 already. That would put them on average nearly 70 points.

Not with Farke as manager they won’t. They’ve made getting out of the Championship a lot harder than it should be with that squad.

I don’t disagree but sometimes an extra year of winning games makes you stronger ever with failure mixed in.  It adds resilience to your squad.

We never win the league without watford imo.

I saw a stat today, that the three promoted / bottom three teams, are on course with the current run rate, to have the lowest points ever for three promoted teams from the Championship.

Three ever obliging Leicester!

I believe the stat is 7 points every 5 years.

It can’t be too far wrong. After 100 cumulative points in the first 20-team season in 95/96 in 96/97 the relegated trio got 113 points. The next season, when Bolton, Barnsley and Crystal Palace were relegated with a combined 108 points. Even the historically shite 07/08 Derby side ‘helped’ the promoted trio to 82 cumulative points that season.

This year the promoted trio carrying on at the same rate would get a combined 62.1 points. Last year they got 66.

Thanks. Yeah I probably quoted them wrong and that would make more sense.

All done then by start of April

Very decent run of fixtures. Feels like they'll likely be around 30 points by April. Got to hope they slip up.

You’d be looking at hitting 10 points from 15 out of that lot if you’re Wolves.
