If a defender is covering the majority of the body of the offensive player it shouldn't be an offside. End of. They have ruined the sport with these stupid rules. I had a great time watching this until this offside. It's infuriating what they have done to the sport.

Seriously Rio Ferdinand is up there for most irritating man alive. And there is a lot of competition for that crown. Brain dead clown. Trying his best to ruin one of the best games of all time. STFU

Even when Ally McCoist tried to be kind and massively set it up for Rio to give some defensive insight on Barca's defending at the corner for Inter's 3rd all Rio could say was the Barca players have got to get to the ball first. NO. FVCKING. SHIT.

Doesn’t this just make you want a Super League?

 

We should be able to watch the best players in the world going head-to-head regularly from our sofas — and still pay on the gate to see proper local teams in competitive games, without the sanitised, corporate nonsense.

 

The prem is so boring and crap for match going fans, and I think a Super League would make it better for all the non top 6 clubs. 

 

At the moment we get the worst of both worlds...

It's only the jeopardy of the knockout stages that has brought the entertainment. The actual league phase was utterly boring and far too bloated.

We literally just had the game happen without the super league. You can have too much of a good thing - that game was special because it doesn't happen often.

 

That being said I do genuinely believe that football is going through managed decline so that people accept the super league by stealth.
