Sorry I misunderstood your point !

yeah there both capable at championship level for sure

this would sound ridiculous in the past, but I think Wilf should be moved on.

Agree. Equally for his sake more than anything. He needs a revival and is capable of it at 28, a change can help him.

From the BBC @davieG ?

Some joke scores there. Elanga had Thomas on toast for the whole first half. Vardy was mostly crap. McAteer was McAteer. Ayew was much better than him and in the first half at least, offered more than Bilal. The game, against tiring opponents, was changed largely by Buonanotte & Monga. Luke Thomas MOTM, FFS!

Willing to give him a proper pre season. Looks horrendously unfit (which would appear to be his big asset) as he did some really good things today and then almost immediately something on the opposite end of the spectrum. Like his body couldn't keep up with his brain

Shocking today. Those couple of times when he gave the ball away in terrible areas. Whilst it wasn't directly from it, but him losing the ball needlessly put us under pressure which led to their second.

You need to watch it again not saying Skipp was great but i am amazed you put any blame on him for the second Forest goal .He done well to keep the ball from a shocking pass from Jacob and played a good ball to Bilal who lost the ball with a shocking first touch talk about looking for a scapegoat

Could have tried pressing Gibbs White given he was the nearest Leicester player to him. He allowed Forest's creative outlet about ten yards and tons of time to whip a perfect ball in.

I'm glad it's not just me, Thomas was in a different post code to Elanga most of the time.

He's shit but our results have picked up a bit since he's been in.

Given no one will pay money for him we're realistically going to have to stick with him.

I agree

and you would of thought a division below he might actually look half decent (as winks did last season)

then flog him once he garnishes some interest

Probably more down to Soumare being out than Skipp being in...

I've got no problem with having Skipp in the squad next season.

There's a reason he got hooked.

He'll be like Vestergaard, be class in the Championship then be utter shit again when we come back up

I can't agree more, I was at the game, there was a 5 min spell before their 2nd goal, when he just had an absolute shocker.

I truly hate the guy as a player that can make LCFC a more effective better team.  AND whoever decided he was worth £20m/£25m, he has hardly been good enough to get in the team, we bought him for a position we already had covered (Winks/proven) and we're stuck with him now as you said like Vesty.  He'll do a job in the Champs, BUT this guy is NOT a Premier League player, hence he couldn't get in a team that may well end up this season 17th.

That buy is up there, having him at our club is like dragging a ball and chain.  If he goes well next season, get rid, don't offer him a Vesty/Choudry contract.

He's got 4 more years, I doubt even we'd be daft enough to offer an extension on top of his remaining 3 years.

WOW!!!

Somebody???? at the club saw something at the club that 97% of Leicester fans didn't and haven't.

When you know you are in the PSR swamp in Aug last year, why would you do that??  You'd exert caution, and tell him to live with 3 years OR keep your money in your pocket.

Jeez

But giving him 4 years actually helped us PSR wise. Otherwise you’re spreading the £25m or whatever it was over 3 years, not 4, making his yearly impact £2,083,333 higher. That’s a Coulibaly a year!!!

You don’t spend 20/25m on players with three year deals

if you don’t think a player is worth longer than three years then you shouldn’t be spending more than £5m on them  (which makes your point from the opposite direction)

I just came to this thread whilst listening to WYS....my word, tactico nonce that Dom Wells clearly.  Skipp is extraordinary at showcasing absolutely zero element of his game to a decent level. Pure NPC.

Just listened to the Second Tier podcast highlighting two key players for each team next season. Abdul was a shoe-in, but the other was another fan favourite - Oliver Skipp!

Talk of how strong our squad is in general, and how a Winks/Skipp double pivot in a Cifuentes team was an exciting prospect at Championship level.

Don't shoot the messenger...

Anyway, I'm sure everyone here will be wiping the slate clean and getting behind all squad members next season! 🤣
