the guys looks and moved like he's about 40 years old. He's one of these unlucky guys who genetics are in fast forward mode.

I always thought he looks like a WW1 private, put his mugshot in black and white and it could’ve been taken in the trenches

This is just a massively bad bad bit of business.

Hopefully marti sees we need another CM if winks is on his way, especially after getting dragged in the first half!

It’s hardly believable how bad he is - basically hid the whole first half - stealing a living off us - disgusting performance from a 20m quid footballer- should be embarrassed with himself

He had a bad day, but he's not Soumaré, and it's fairly certain that we will need him at some point this season.

I genuinely think Soumare is better at this point. And that is crazy

I’ve never seen a player that had zero pros!!! He’s absolutely dog muck in every single area required to be a pro footballer lol… how has he blagged it for so long is a tough question to answer…then there’s the how spurs managed to extort 25m out of us! If Rudkin wasn’t at the club it would simply have to go down as money laundering

Everything he does seems to be difficult, the switch of play that went over Thomas head in the first half, a routine 10-15 yard pass and it seemed a massive struggle for him, played completely differently to how he did against Fiorentina!

Confidence shot to bits, I can’t see how he stays here and regains any kind of confidence, needs to move on but no one taking him so he’s in limbo

"But he'll be great at Championship level. He won player of the season at Norwich a few years ago......."

Blah blah blah. All I take from that is that Norwich must have been especially pish that season.

I genuinely thought he pressed like a madman on Sunday, and that was very evident in the first few minutes of the match, pressing high as a team and Skipp was an important cog to how intense our press was on Sunday. I thought he was lively, put in the yards all over the pitch and his overall performance was a pleasant surprise.

You say he was beaten to 50/50 balls, but there was also numerous times in the game where he tracked back and made successful tackles and interceptions.

In terms of Winks, we all know he is probably our best midfielder with the ball, it’s no surprise he used the ball better than others. Of course he had that big moment where he managed to break and setup Daka.

But I genuinely feel the criticism for Skipp after Sunday is baffling, yes he’s been shit and I’ve happily criticised him in the past, but the way he pressed on Sunday was the best I’ve seen from him.

Noticeable silence from Kingfox on Skippy this afternoon. The difference between him and Winks is massive. There’s an absolute gulf between the two in terms of  creativity and quality and I’ll reiterate that I see no major energy from Skipp. Hopefully Cifuentes will now stick with Winks and find an alternative to Bouba too.

Noticeable silence because my mother has just come out of hospital and I have to care for her.

But in terms of Skipp, back to being very meh this afternoon. I said in the match thread at half-time that I don’t really like the midfield dynamic.

Skipp was pressing like a madman last Sunday, this Sunday he pressed high for about five minutes, the rest of the half him and Soumare were crap.

I did also say in this thread that I don’t see Skipp as being a long term solution for the box-to-box role.

A new box-to-box 8 is essential this summer, that and a striker are the two missing puzzle pieces imo.

You’ve seen the useless gimp who started alongside him before right?
