Think it's the kind of performance where if he was playing alongside a more dynamic or creative midfielder it would get a lot more praise from some. Don't really remember him making many mistakes, used the ball well in tight areas and scrapped. Personally thought it was a better performance than Soumare who will always seem a bit more impressive when he had a good game (which he did) because of the physicality.

He’s a workhorse but nothing more. We’d have had an easier game tonight if we had a couple of CMs capable of dictating play and could hold onto the ball - Winks is that player but he’s off / being phased out so we need someone else

Maybe, but I’d argue that the playmaking is often the responsibility of your 10… and as well as Page did tonight, he’s not quite there in terms of dominating that space.

Skipp and Soumare are the water carriers, the progreesors / breaker uppers that look to get the ball back and give it to your more threatening players - and by and large they did that tonight.

Despite it being Skipp’s best game, Soumare was still better tonight. Both though are still too negative way way too often. The pair of them together are not the solution going forward but they did the job tonight. Hopefully we’ll get someone during the window.

Not sure Page did well tonight, very lightweight as to be expected due to his age. looked a lot better when he was replaced

If he can work that hard every game and do the basics without errors, then he will be of use to us this season.

I would still like us to sign a CM though or Winks to come out of his strop, as Skipp still offers very little.

Still thought he was crap to be honest.

Not sure what game you were watching then worked his socks off won a few tackles and was tidy on the ball can't recall him losing it once although will concede that's generally because he tends to pass sideways or backwards

Page definitely didn’t help but if you look at the role Winks plays, (when he’s on it) he dictates the play way more than whoever is playing 10. I actually think we’re missing the  combo of him and Wout in that respect. Okoli is a poor distributor and that’s compounded by not having a natural passer in CM.
