His career stagnated since then ….. especially this season!

After hearing reports that he’s homesick, hadn’t settled at all at Leicester think this transfer is done…. Not sure where we go from here.

he has the quality for the championship but I don’t think he has the application here

christ if you're dropping 20 odd million on a professional, you'd hope he doesn't act like a child and get homesick, we really need to stop investing in players who give us no commitment back

He's going to be here for a long while because of the fee we paid. We can't shift him unless we accept a big loss.

Expected book values:

  • Summer 2025 £16m
  • Summer 2026 £12m
  • Summer 2027 £8m
  • Summer 2028 £4m

Not that it’s childish to get homesick, if he was moving 3000 miles and had no family and friends with him etc etc I could understand it. But he’s literally moved about 80 miles 😂😂

Get him in the team to play and stick with it as he will be key next season. He is no worse than Soumare and I know he has been woeful when he played but season is done so try and get him some confidence back by feeling part of squad

Surely one of the first questions that is asked is how they feel about relocating. Seems like a bit of a cop out.

To think the lengths previous scouting/recruitment teams went to when sounding out new players!

To be fair I would also be feeling down due the fact that he was completely unwanted by the fans here and has barely played.

Just such an awful transfer that made no sense at the time and has negatively impacted both the player and the club.

He can be good in the championship, look at his time at Norwich. But that just tells us how low the championship standard is v PL

Exactly this. Winks and Skipp would be the best central midfield pairing in the championship this season. Just need a competent coach and we should easily be top 3 or 4 next year

Not sure winks and skipp compliment each other well. I think it’s one or the other in the lineup or you end up with too many players incapable of moving the ball forwards

A fresh manager, a new season, playing in the championship, I'm hopeful he'll be decent, he was when he played in the championship before

you would hope he would be decent in the champ for 25 million, he should be head and shoulders above every player in that league. We all know he isn't going to be though

One of my concerns about us this season has been a real lack of physicality, we have a squad littered with players who are small and/or lack physical presence.

When you look at other teams they look bigger, stronger, quicker and fitter than us, I really do think we need to have a look at the profile of players we want for next season and the following season in the premier league should we go up.

Thomas, Winks, Skipp, VK look too lightweight and then when you look at players like Daka and Soumare, they just don’t have the resilience to cope with the physicality and pace of football in England.
