Or pessimistic??

Rooney is the January one for Plymouth, which I found quite amusing!

Another example of fans often knowing more about players than professional scouts and coaches.

Just gonna look at page 1/2 though to put a black mark against anyone who rated this!

On paper it was potentially a good signing. He was electric at Celtic, and with the France under 21’s….. it was a gamble on a player who’s lost his way, and it hasn’t worked out. So I imagine you’re suggesting the fans signed him?

I'd seen him a couple of times for Palace last season and he was hideously bad.

Also, like in pure business terms, the largest of red flags is that the lad weren't good enough to make Palace's bench ( and they were happy to gift him to a relegation rival), why was he ever gonna be if any use to us?

He's a joke and was always gonna be so..so much so even Cooper wouldn't use him.

The key bit for me. They were willing to let both Ayew AND Edouard go to us. That suggests at least one of them is a complete dud.

It'd be like us letting Daka go to Ipswich.

This should be an easy one for the recruiting dept as they take on the hard task of bringing new players in: send edourde back to palace asap with a ‘thanx for nothing’ note. He’s been a waste of a valuable spot.

I guess when you make a desperate signing like this, you just hope there's a chance the player would relish a fresh start, otherwise it's just a huge waste of money, a third striker wasn't a necessity

Now you've got my hopes up that you may be ITK!

Judging players on their performances in the Scottish League is always a gamble. The league overall is the equivalent of League 2 with Celtic being League 1. Buying a player on the basis that they look great for Celtic is just foolish.
