People who are charismatic  exude warmth and competence!  They are likable with good social, motivational and communication skills.  They may be attractive, charming and have a sense of humour.  They may demonstrate slightly unconventional behavior.

Do you think we'd do better with a manager like that ?     If so, which of the above 10 qualities does Mr Cooper have?

Wenger wasn't exactly charismatic but he gave Arsenal their best years. You could probably say the same for Pearson down here. Leader and great man manager but he wouldn't be in your top 5 charismatic characters.

There's a lot to be said for right person with the right players at the right time too

I don’t know if it’s lack of charisma, but Cooper does seem small and insignificant on the touch line not seemingly in charge or control. I’m concerned he’s lost half the dressing room already.

Cooper seems beaten before the games start and then apologetic afterwards. It's a concern really.

You can't judge his "success" on the way he is but I guess a MON, a Jose even a Warnock have that winning mentality or desire to win that shines through as confidence or arrogance! That will always be more appealing to fans and players than the beige that is Cooper.

Jamie Vardy, he's won more than you

Noticed when Vardy went down on the weekend, Winks and Cooper appeared to be having a tactical discussion of some sorts, which ended with Winks throwing his arms around frustratedly. The signs aren’t great, and he clearly dosen’t have the rapport with, or respect of the squad that Enzo did.

The person who THINKS he has all of the above is somone like Russell Martin, I think Pep for example does have all the above - unlimited spending and FFP rulebreaking have helped his success over the past few years.

That's why Ranieri was successful, during the Title-winning season.

He had/has all of those characteristics.

Here's me thinking it was Kante.

Charisma in terms of giving funny soundbites in press conferences and showing PASHUN on the touchline I personally don't care about at all, but they need sufficient force of personality to convince players to buy into their ideas and maintain authority over the squad. I don't think it's fair to judge whether or not Cooper is capable of that based on what he says in interviews or his demeanour on the touchline, much less his appearance.

He's hardly a barrel of laughs.

Its confidence end of. Its the belief in what your doing and having the confidence the communicate that vision to your team to help them buy into it. Lord Nige and O’Neill were charismatic, but they had an understanding of what they were doing and were always competent at developing their squad around their vision.

He is totally uninspirational. Just looking at him makes me depressed. God knows what effect it has on the players.

I know that feeling. I’m always hoping he refrains from smiling. Dear lord have mercy on us
