Been solid, been a good performance from a very much changed team. Good to see, Greece have been on fire recently and not easy to beat especially away

Greece knock the ball around we'll, probably the best footballing Greece I've ever seen.

Good all round win really. Not too many posts about it usually means it's a decent performance. Covered all bases really, shown some good energy going forward and had to withstand some decent pressure.

Thought England were good. Best performance in a quite a while. Thought Jones and Hall looked very solid on their debuts. Curtis Jones is so good in those tight spaces, can see him being a regular pick.

He’s been one who has transformed most under Slot. Having a superb season.

Ironically noni madueke did more in an England shirt last night than Phil Foden as over the past four years.

You''ll have to remind me when Madueke scored and set up a couple up in the actual World Cup.

A win eventually. Made very hard work against 10 men for 45 mins.

Still looks like pot 3 for WC qualifiers unless some freak results in 3 days.

Ben Doak is a future star, his next move is very important.

Inresting thought about the nations league.

If Scotland win tonight, we stay in the top tier of the league but is that better? We aren't going to win the tournament so we can't qualify for the euros through it. However, if we lose and are relegated down, we then open up another path of qualification outside the qualification groups, against teams we have a better chance of beating.

The last two tournaments, we've benefited from the nations league. We qualified directly through it and last time, we had the safety net of playoffs if we needed it. There IS a benefit for teams like us in the lower groups but none in the top tier so it begs the question, why would we want to win tonight?

I will never understand why anyone boos a national anthem.

Maybe I'm old school, but why bother ?

Once one set of fans do it, the others will respond. The England fans will be responding to the abuse our anthem got in Dublin.

Why wouldn't England fans boo the Irish anthem? The Irish detest the English.

Tbf, only the American's like the English from my experience !

Given history, that's entirely explicable.

That being said, it's not like the (rich) Scots and Welsh (not necessarily Irish) didn't benefit some from the less savoury aspects of that history too.

Completely understand why Irish, Welsh or Scottish fans would boo England’s anthem, but you’ve got to expect it back.

Pretty much.

It's more complex than many people give it credit for.

They really don't. Bigots on both sides probably do but thankfully they are a small minority.
