Not denying it.

Although people thought Rodgers and passing round at the back was entertaining so it's horses for courses.

Who says we have to revert to passing it around, look how Bournemouth play because they have a manager who knows how to get a team playing and no one had heard of him before.

results wise Cooper isn't doing bad, but I don't know how you are enjoying these performances, the only thing is we have scored some late goals which obviously will lift the fanbase esp those at the games, but when you look at bigger picture performances are not great and we have been hammered with the keeper having the highest XG

The signing of Bilal was very much a ‘return to type’, so I am not sure I buy that 65m of it has been wasted.

I said it was an opportunity wasted in as much as we knew this team would struggle so we needed to buy better than we already had and improve it.  Ordinarily I would approve of a 'return to type' as you put it, but under the circumstances this year, I don't think we have the luxury of buying potential for the future.  We needed to improve the team for the here and now.

Positives today -

Faes and Vestegaard looked more assured today as a defensive pair, and Ricardo and VK were also defensively good.

Kacey looked capable and certainly should be given a chance I think, as should Soumare.

Negatives -

Playing Enzo ball in nonsense, we aren't Man City, we can't transition the ball quick enough, and as a result I'm not sure Winks is the player we need unless we're lcontrolling the play, we need to set up to play on the break, play nasty, consider changing it up from playing with natural wingers to over-running the midfield and using ayew or Edouard as a holding centre forward

                                                                                                   Mads

                                                                                          Faes       Vesty

                                                                        Riccy                                               VK

                                                                                      Skipp               Ndidi

                                                                               Facundo                     Soumare

                                                                                                   Ayew

                                                                                                   Vardy

Or playing 3 at the back with defensive wing backs

                                                                                                      Mads

                                                                                          Faes    Vesty    Coady

                                                                        Riccy                                                       VK

                                                                                                   Soumare

                                                                                Facundo                        Bilal

                                                                                             Ayew/Edouard

                                                                                                   Vardy

But doing this with these players knowing that at 60 we'll bring Mavididi/Kacey and Fatawu on to run at tired full backs, because today, attacking wingers are useless when you can't transition the ball through midfield so all they're doing is defending

Cooper is the luckiest man in professional football.

Didn't folk say that when he kept his previous club up? Maybe it's more than just lck, just saying...

We just covered this in our Instant Match Reaction.

The problem is that the table says that we are 5 points clear of the relegation zone after 10 games and ahead of Everton and Palace. That sounds amazing!

But we have been so lucky, we really have. These lucky breaks will catch up to us eventually. From a tactical standpoint we are an absolute mess, players don't know if they are coming or going.

The only positive I can really say is that Jordan Ayew is actually a good signing. He's got us 4 points already and if he does nothing else this season, he probably already paid for himself.

Exactly my thoughts, great discussion chaps as always.

True, but there are some really poor sides in the bottom six.

We have been poor but at least we keep going.

I don’t think the players are against him per se, o think they’re fighting, I just think there’s a massive amount of confusion around his style of play and what he’s asking the players to do.

We were ****ing rancid for most of that game. I was a miserable **** but went berserk for the equaliser.

Also I’m the first to moan about our support, but I thought our end was good today. It would’ve been easy to have a meltdown at 1-0, but we stuck with them.

At the time I thought Ipswich fans had a ****ing cheek to boo the referee off. He was appalling, mostly in their favour but I’ve just seen the Chaplin incident back. That’s a penalty and we’ve got away with it.

at home to Forest we had one shot on target and that was the goal, not exactly entertaining

They are third right now as well. Shocking.

If he'd been lucky we'd have beaten Palace and got a draw against Arsenal.  But that was purely down to Cooper though, I'll bet.

We should have beat Palace to be fair. A draw against Arsenal wouldn't have been a fair result, they absolutely hammered us but thats to be expected. I do think our players are limited but I think they are even more limited because Cooper just isn't very good.

Any else think we're just not quite fit enough. ?

We just seemed so slow compared to Ipswich today.

VK had his best game for us today.

Ricardo still getting up to the pace but I thought he was poo r for the goal.

Mav and Fats too wasteful all game but kept trying.

Facundo and Winks ok

Vardy Ayew combo saved us.

It keeps our gap positive, So we move on.

I'm on a rival fans message board.       Have to refrain from profanities and stinging attacks but that was painful.     You should have lost, we should be celebrating our first victory back in the premier league but not for the first time we shot ourselves in the foot and a culmination of poor refereeing, loss of focus at critical moments and again having a player sent off cost us dear by the end.     It was so close, really thought victory was there and to have it snatched away so late in the game, not for the first time, really stings.   Even the most ardent Leicester fan should admit they got away with it and escaped with a point that another time they would have taken nothing from it.

It's pretty clear even a handful of games in we're just not of PL standard.    10 games now without a win, it's no coincidence.     Said before the signs are there we show at times belief and determination but a number of stupid errors cost us time and again.    You can only get away with so many and we're well on our way to crossing a certain line.      30,000 back at Portman Road is great, it's fantastic after all the shit seasons we had to endure but the fans just aren't getting enough reward for it.

Tough to say more without losing it as the win was there and we allowed it to slip.     It's not the first time this season and it won't be the last.    Think somehow we're going to be busy during the next transfer window.    McKenna again left certain players on the bench when they should have been involved from the start.   He's a wonderful manager no doubt but the options he puts out each game do leave a number of our fans frustrated or knowing we could start out better prepared.

I don’t disagree that Ipswich played well at times but have you seen the stats from the game? You had less possession, less shots and less shots on target. We  were woeful at times, but make no mistake, you didn’t win because you were not very good. Two shots on target for a team playing at home is terrible, and if you don’t survive this season, you’ll have to point the finger at yourselves, no one else.

The negativity is so boring. Suggest getting back on the PlayStation and everything will be Hunky Dory.

Go on, show the positives and what Cooper has done for the club? Your time starts.....now!
