Trav Le Bleu Posted 16 November 2024 Posted 16 November 2024 Can't remember if I've ever started one of these and I guess it's telling of everyones general mood that no one has thought to start one yet, with less than a week to go. It would be lovely to stick one back to Enzo, but it seems very unlikely. Can see us getting the proverbial on a plate handed to us, as things seem to be starting to click at Chelsea. 0-2 Prove me wrong.

Spudulike Posted 16 November 2024 Posted 16 November 2024 Perhaps KDH will get a game. Off the bench for the last 10 mins when they are cruising 0-3. I would clap him on. No chance of seeing Chilwell but Fofana will give us some entertainment.
Bert Posted 16 November 2024 Posted 16 November 2024 Hermansen Justin Vestergaard Faes Kristiansen Winks Skipp Fatawu N’Didi Ayew Vardy Is what I think he’ll go for. It’s the most defensive attacking XI we can field which I feel is something that Cooper likes doing. The energy of Skipp next to Winks has been missed in the last few games I feel as well, and we’re going to need that spending most of the game chasing the ball. That back four fills me with dread and would much prefer us to start going with a back 3 even if it’s for a few games to stop the flurry of goals going in. We’re needing 3 goals a game to even have half a sniff of a result at the minute. I fear it’s going to be a procession for Chelsea, an early goal conceded and it could be anything.
OadbyBlue Posted 16 November 2024 Posted 16 November 2024 Still find it weird how Enzo left without a word, and still hasn’t as far as I’m aware spoke about his reasoning/addressed the club or supporters etc. He’s a fantastic coach though, and miles ahead of what we have now, as we will see on Saturday. 2

He played Souttar against Stoke last season so there's every chance he might apply same logic of him knowing how to play his old opponent. I can see him playing some part at least. I wasn't a fan of Enzo and I'm still not sold on anything he's done at Chelsea. Admittedly they've done better than I thought but Palmer has won something like 38 of their last 42 MOTM awards.

Including JJ is like giving Chelsea an extra player. He just passes the ball to the nearest player regardless of shirt colour. It's like watching the equivalent of football tourettes! 1
LCFCJohn Posted 17 November 2024 Posted 17 November 2024 One of those where if we were more organised and had a plan, there could be the opportunity to expose Chelsea and get a similar result to those against us by the likes of Plymouth and Millwall in the run in last season. Smash and grab type. But, I agree with the above, although we should know Maresca’s weaknesses, we won’t do anything about it and get comfortably beaten. 1
hejammy Posted 17 November 2024 Posted 17 November 2024 This is going to be one of those watch through the fingers jobbie. It's gonna be a battering. I can't see us conceding less than 4 goals.
markko Posted 17 November 2024 Posted 17 November 2024 Tough game. It is a free hit. Get anything and I would be surprised.
Gazza M Posted 17 November 2024 Posted 17 November 2024 Need to scrap 4 at the back for the time being in my opinion as we are too open and the full backs just aren't good enough defensively. I think 3 at the back utilises Vestergaard the best also. Got to stop leaking goals like a dripping tap as first priority. 1
ClaphamFox Posted 17 November 2024 Posted 17 November 2024 I’m usually as glass half-full as anybody and am often genuinely optimistic ahead of games that everybody else thinks we’ll lose, but I just can’t see past a comfortable Chelsea win for this one. 1
moore_94 Posted 17 November 2024 Posted 17 November 2024 Both Ayew and Fatawu injured on international duty McAteer and Mavididi as wingers then? 3
The Doctor Posted 17 November 2024 Posted 17 November 2024 Cooper disasterclass incoming, Enzoball will make us look like chumps. Going for the 5-0 hammering we've been threatening to be on the end of all season
shailen Posted 17 November 2024 Posted 17 November 2024 Mads Ricardo. JJ. Vesty. Faes. Fatawu Ndidi. Winks Ayew. Buanotte Vardy
