Should never of been appointed in the first place but at least the owners have acted faster this time round We had very little choice due to our financial position. Obviously that has now changed. We should be in a better place now regarding choice & applications.
EastAnglianFox Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Blinked before the rest, have we been in touch with Ruud on the QT or still maintained some kind of relationship with Potter? 2

copunk Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Thoroughly nice chap, sad it didn't work out for him to be honest, his set up was just so negative 1

He was totally out of his depth and he didn’t have the trust of his players, never mind the fans. Presumably the club must have someone lined up for them to be this decisive. I'm sure he'll struggle to buy groceries now...

Bryn Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 He's done exactly what I expected him to do, yet again the fault truly lies with whoever appointed him. 2
Number 6 Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 New guy now has a few weeks to get used to the squad and lay some foundations so he knows who he wants to bring in on January. Huge couple of months for us. 3
Popular Post Danno Posted 24 November 2024 Popular Post Posted 24 November 2024 Correct decision. Wasn’t helped with the threat of points deduction in the summer dissuading players from joining us, but if it wasn’t there I don’t think he’d have been the chosen manager anyway. Feel quite sad for him, seems a really good bloke trying his best unlike Rodgers. Wish him well, just wasn’t the right fit. 5
Corky Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Far too many instances of players arguing, being mysteriously dropped, cryptic comments to suggest it was not a settled camp. I genuinely think if he had played our best team, had a real go and fallen short then he would be unfortunate. But bizarre selections, no style of play, stats heavily against us and I don't think there are too many complaints. We cannot continue to be a team that loses "narrowly" whilst doing very little. The margin for error in the table is reducing all the time. 3

He'll get a lot of sympathy in the media because we're not currently in the relegation zone and lost 'narrowly' to a team that was expected to beat us. Personally couldn't give a flying fvck what anyone else thinks. Everyone outside of Leicester disagreed when we sacked Ranieri and that was proven to be the right decision. I've even had a neutral tell me that if we'd stuck with Brendan, he would have kept us up. 6

Popular Post fazzyfox Posted 24 November 2024 Popular Post Posted 24 November 2024 Re why now not 2 weeks ago, maybe the attitude to a home game v Chelsea was the last straw. Vs Spurs on the opening day we played like that 1st half and he said the players had misunderstood the instructions. For this park the bus to re-emerge, this time without proper explanation is new. The spell where the players heads went completely was new (to the extent they went), the body language was at a new low, Vardy’s response was at a new extreme. This wasn’t another defeat it was an unprepared s***show, unprofessional at every level, no press, no urgency, no personality. It was a new low, lower than the old low. That’s why today. 5

We've just had an international break and where the new coach could have bedded in and got some training sessions done. Why not get rid at the start of that? What with half the squad away?
It'sblueupnorth Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Should never have been appointed in the first place, don’t trust this board to get the replacement right and why have we just wasted 2 weeks of international break to give him a chance v Chelsea. Totally inept and incompetent from the board
Foxdiamond Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Doubt we would have appointed him if the points deduction question was not in place. Fair play he wanted the job when others not interested but when you look at our results on top of what got him the sack at Forest then very bleak outlook
bovril Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Worst Premier League manager we've had after Taylor. Rodgers did more damage in the end but is far superior to Cooper. 3
Wink84 Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Nothing personal against the guy but this has made my weekend 1
Popular Post Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 24 November 2024 Popular Post Posted 24 November 2024 A very nice guy who had the odds stacked against him from the off with his background at Forest and, quite frankly a very average squad, that is overrated on here in my opinion. But it is the right decision and needed to be done now. Hopefully we make the right appointment. 10
