Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Well at least now we'll see if this squad is as good as they seemingly think they are and lots on here think. No excuses here on in. 2

Brixtonfox Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Modern manager please. Someone who’ll teach the lads to get stuck in 1

Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Whilst I'm embarrassed to be compared to the likes of Watford who sack managers for sport. I genuinely feel this is the right call. I can't find anything about Steve's short tenure to grab on to. This was poor recruitment from the get go. And Cooper didn't do anything to convince the players or fans otherwise. It's all just a bit odd to me. Did Rudders slap half a mil on Cooper being first for the sack back in Aug? 🤔 3
Bayfox Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Best Day Ever. No seriously I've called for Top to show a pair or sell up. .the fact this hasn't gone full Brenda and dragged on I appreciate and applaud. Not even that fussed who the next bloke is. Just glad they have acted and we can't be much worse even if I was given the job. 1

Wortho Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 I’m so glad we’ve got rid of him. I think someone like Moyes could keep us up. 2

ozleicester Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Seemed as though the appointment was made with an expectation of relegation (PSR etc) He did ok results wise considering the squad The club have realised there is a chance of survival so hopefully will sign a decent replacement. Needs a BIG SPEND in January if we are too survive. At least the match day moaning will stop.
STUHILL Posted 25 November 2024 Posted 25 November 2024 I think the club actually gave Cooper the perfect amount of games to show us whether he can do the job for us. (He can't) Anywhere between 10-15 games is adequate to make this assessment in my view. Those calling for him to be sacked after only a handful of games may feel justified, but many of those were also asking for Enzo to be sacked too. I am surprised the club have got this sacking right, as I expected them to hold off for a while longer. I suspect this has also been triggered because they have someone lined up and ready to go. Potter or Moyes I suspect. I have got no issue with Cooper, other than he was just not very good for us. Hope he gets back to work soon, most likely with a mid-table Championship club. 1

HankMarvin Posted 25 November 2024 Posted 25 November 2024 Cooper’s short tenure did include a number of clashes with players, including Jannik Vestergaard – who was at one point banished from training – Harry Winks and Hamza Choudhury. Hamza needs to get the boot

I think the club have realised that they still have the spine of a decent premier league side and can get results if they have the right manager. 1

Jon the Hat Posted 25 November 2024 Posted 25 November 2024 Most of the coverage seems to be of the usual "12 games in, 16th in the table how ridiculous what do they expect" nonsense. People showing they were not paying attention.
Royston. Posted 25 November 2024 Posted 25 November 2024 Wise move. Is this Top + co actually admitting to a dreadful mistake???
