I agree as to the united nature of the fanbase ... at this moment. But if the dog-poo hits the fan, opinions will change, and that includes the opinions they held in the past!

RVN was dismissed by most on here when touted in the summer but now is being lauded. So if things don't go well, expect it to change quickly.

So are you saying the same about Vincent Kompany and Enzo?

That's a good point but can be equally applied to other high profile ex-players that have been useless. We don't know how successful Enzo would've been plunged into a relegation fight and Kompany did take Burnley straight back down.

It's certainly exciting and if we see an upturn in confidence, organisation, will to win in the team then the whole mood of the club/fans will snowball.

I think we'll be up for this.

What's with the 'sh' at end of words chat? Are we taking the piss out of accents again. So, so tiresome if so.

I went on a stag do to Amsterdam once. We got into a minibus type thing and there was a big fabric snake weaved in and out of the overhead luggage rack. The groom-to-be said 'what do you call your snake' to the driver, but the driver didn't quite here and was confused. So he said it again, louder, but said 'what do you call your shnake?'

The driver heard this time, he said 'I call it my SNAKE'

it was pretty funny! 😄 🤣

But he doesn't carry the Notts F baggage.

If we appoint Ruud we need to be aware that if he is remotely successful, he will be off to Man Utd at the first opportunity.

Can't see them allowing him to work from home tbh

The first time Amorim wobbles and we’re flying under the Dutchman, it will be ‘get Ruud in’ from all the media / pundits

If he’s remotely successful then we’ll have survived this season and will be on a stable path to be a long term premier league club again so I’d worry about that a long time in the futures

Im actually all for it. Get nice release clauses in the contract and have the next manager lined up ready to go.

I would disagree with this.

Less than 4 years coaching/management with a bit part for a few weeks with the Dutch national team, does make him a novice. Undoubtedly he had an excellent career as a footballer and would have picked some bits up there, and again as a manager and coach for two good teams.

But he hasn't been in management that long.

PSV was handed to him on a plate because of who he was. He didn't sign any great players and walked out of the club because the hierarchy wouldn't back him. Apart from Ajax and Feyenoord they are a league similar to the Scottish division.

I don't deny he would have the ambition and hunger to do well, he comes across as that type of guy. I just don't understand why people are talking him up so much like he's been managing or coaching for so long, when it's only been a few years.

He has managed 152 games he is hardly wet behind the ears, he is a veteran in comparison to Enzo who had a mere 13 or so games under his belt.

As long as Potter isn't on that shortlist yet again,  I don't mind.

I once asked a girl out and she politely turned me down. Then 4 years later there was another opportunity, so I asked her out once more.

She refused again!!!! Devastated and embarrassed. Her name..... Louise Potter

Funneh ow the people of Lestah mock people for the use of the English language aint it.

I mean come on, they are Dutch.  They are better looking than us, nicer than us, they have a wonderful liberal democracy, they speak multiple languages.  We have a duty to mock their English accents.
