One thing he badly needs to improve is how we start matches. Being so passive and usually going behind early is heavily impacting us.

When Maresca left, we hired someone even more qualified than he was and it was a disaster. 

 

If he is the right person, he's the right person regardless of experience.

This feels right. Really hope that fans will actually get behind the team more in home matches now that we have a manager we believe in. Really need a more intimidating atmosphere at home, given the quality deficit we face on the pitch.

It’s great timing, he’s got a month to assess the squad before January and as already mentioned - we’re not in a terrible spot.

 

If this can galvanise us to take a minimum of 4 points from next 6 we’ll be in a healthy position.

Ruuds career so far is taking the best team in Holland and finishing 2nd. Then beating Steve Coopers Leicester twice and PAOK with Man Utd.

 

If it was an unknown name people would be baffled beyond belief. But because he bagged a load of goals people are all jazzed up.

A calculated gamble, whilst he doesn't have much top level managerial experience, he's been doing the hard yards for 10 years at PSV and the Dutch national team, which is good to see.

 

One thing I think he will bring that I think this group are crying out for is discipline, everything I have heard/read about RVN is he's extremely strict and demanding and he carries an aura that demands respect which I do think the players will look up to.

 

Also he's a spicy one, and I don't think he will suffer those above him, similar to Enzo when he called them out.

 

I'm personally excited and all in for the Ruud experience!
