This is where I'm at. I wish him all the best (obviously). I'm just a bit concerned it's got a touch of the Lampard / Paulo Sousa about it in that he's a big name with not much actual management experience. I think it's a bit risky at this point.

I hope he makes me look an absolute mug.

Did Enzo have much management experience prior to us?

I'm turning quite negative these days so my initial reaction is he'll be lucky to survive the rest of the season.

He gets some leeway though by the home fans as he isn't Cooper.

All about timing, and Ruud for some reason is flavour of the month. I worry it shows again the lack of foresight and creativity from the people in charge.

However, he gets full support until he proves otherwise so welcome Ruud. Let's hope it works out.

No, hence why that too was a risky appointment. Some risks pay off and some don't.

At least it's not Rooney.

Nope. That was a risk that paid off, I'm just pointing out that this is a risk, too. That said, any new appointment is a gamble of sorts I guess.

I wanted someone with experience, so naturally we went for someone with none.  :D

I just hope he's the type of manager who can galvanize the squad and who can get the best out of them.

It’s a risk but I don’t think it’s a huge risk he’s clearly a tactician understands tactics and has a football philosophy, not to mention has won two trophies already albeit in Holland but that’s still a decentish football standard.

He would have to be fairly useless and bring in some utter dross in January, to be noticeably worse than Cooper.

If he's as disciplined and strict as suggested, and can coach with an actual playing style, you have to hope we'll see an improvement.

I hope he can put some fire in the players' bellies, use ALL the clubs talent and stem the leaks and cock ups.

Exciting times.

Gwon Ruud.

Can't wait for the reaction when he plays a triple pivot of Hamza, Bouba and Wilf in his first game 🤣

Jokes aside I'm excited by this, as ever with us it's going to go one of 2 ways, brilliant or disaster, there is never an in-between for us
