Paying for them flights when king power are struggling, something doesn’t add up there

There will be no changes in flight patterns or use of a private jet until he/KP goes bankrupt.

Not a chance he's flying Thai Airways cattle to the UK lol

Come on now, he's just doing his bit for the environment. By that, I mean he's making sure he's got a nice big carbon footprint befitting somebody of his station

The scenes on foxestalk when they announce Wilder/GON and at the bottom of the announcement they say that Kingy has left and we wish him well!

The trajectory of the club is plain to see - we're skint.  All this PSR stuff is a smoke screen and I think our financial position is worse than we probably think.  Poor leadership has gotten us into the mess but I'm beginning to wonder that PSR might actually have rescued us.  Without it, who knows where we'd be now.

The rest I get this confuses me.

Forget PSR if we are skint we could not continue spending. It would get to the point we could not borrow anymore. So would be in a deep mess that I think most of us know we are in.

From the psr point. While we had the money we just spent it without a care in the world. So now we are looking at a it's deduction and possible transfer ban.

The common denominator in both issues are the idiots in charge.

I think what I was trying to say was that we were living beyond our means for a while.  The leadership should have more gently applied the brakes earlier, but didn't, because they don't know what they're doing.  Without an external factor such as PSR enforcing a hard stop, I fear we would have continued to a point where we literally ran out of money - fire sales of assets, staff not being paid etc.

Our current situation seems to me to be a desperate attempt to comply with PSR rather than nurturing a sustainable business model.  Maybe I'm wrong, but I strongly suspect that any business plan we have is based on us being a Premier League club and we are basing our strategy on hope alone.

For me, in our current situation, we would push the boat out a bit to get a solid manager in on a 3 year contract.  Keep player purchases at a minimum this summer and try to offload two, maybe three players.  Keep, if we can, our key players and complement the team with youth.  See where we are in January and if we are in touching distance of automatic/play offs, make some investment in the squad then.  If we get promoted, great.  If we don't then that will be a big set back, but selling 3-4 more players should give us a strong financial advantage over the rest of the field to reinvest in a super competitive playing squad, with a decent manager already in place.

My fear is that going with a super cheap manager is a big gamble.  I'll be annoyed if we spend over inflated money on fees and wages for mediocre players to play under a mediocre manager.  I would rather have a slightly smaller squad with a good manager this season.

I agree.

But I don't trust these idiots at all.

But let's be honest and as much as I love Vichai some of this stems from him.

We over spent to get up and got away with it. But even after selling Mahrez Kante Drinky and then Mcguire all for huge profits and 80m from the champions league we started borrowing from OZ.

Would it have been that different if we didn't have that tragic accident. I'm really not sure it would be. Vichai would probably have booted Rodgers sooner and we may have stayed up. But we would still have PSR over our heads. We don't even have parachute payments. We've already Hatd it and spent it.

We don't know how bad off KP are at home. But I think we know even less about our own finances.

I don't think we've seen the rotten end yet.

I'm starting to think we are in a worse position now than when we went into administration.

We were always more pro-active and forward thinking under Vichai.

The same cannot be said for Top.

You could not do a worse job if you tried.

Imagine taking over 4 years ago. FA Cup winners, one game off CL football. Best squad the club has ever had in alnost 150 years. Money coming in from all angles.

To this...

No manager, barely a senior coach, no kit, no sponsor, not even a hint of a new signing, you've been relegated twice, lost all your best players but are still skint. Bang average players on insane wages. No one wants to join. Zero sense of any momentum in any part of the club.

Genuinely, every single person in this forum would do better than that.

I agree with all that mostly but the one thing I would say is thay we do have some momentum with our academy.

Whether that will be enough I dont know.

We may have been. But we still had a habit of wasting money and over spending.

I would say the academy is the only thing they've not fvcked up.

I'd genuinely rather just give it to King if the other options are O'Neil or Wilder.

I actually like Wilder but he falls out with every board he works with, so it's have a 12 month max expiry date anyway.

O'Neil was basically in King's position a few years ago and has done nothing to make him a more inspiring choice.

I can't stand King Power and want them and those associated with them gone from the club. It's weird how the club keep forcing on everyone the idea that we were effectively nothing before them and it's purely down to them that our footballing dreams came true. But did the 'hogging the trophy' thing actually happen? I keep seeing people mention it, and maybe I'm being nitpicky but I only ever remember them having a few pictures with the trophy (as you'd expect from any owner) but other than that it was passed around between the players and their families from what I saw. I might be remembering it wrong but I keep seeing people mentioning this hogging the trophy thing and just can't remember that being the case at all. It almost seems a bit childish to be coming up with those claims just to make a point about how we should all hate them. If I'm wrong, I stand corrected and take it back; I just can't remember it being that way, and that's coming from someone who thinks King Power is the biggest problem with the club right now.

My memory is that it was Top holding the trophy for most, if not all, of the lap of honour.

I have been informed by on old friend (Lawyer) who still has some Director level contacts within LCFC, that the Owners are looking to either sell the club, or at the very least, identify and accept inward investment from additional third parties.

I am not the source of this and only wish to share what I was told at the weekend.  Please read into this what you will.

Made me more angry than I should have been on the trophy day.

In the family stand we got treated to Susan Whelan holding the trophy aloft.

There have been a few rumours flying around to this effect so I assume (hope!) it must have some truth to it.

We can only hope at this point.  I have been reticent to condemn them, as I do believe they have good intentions, but they wont be the first to have those and fail miserably running a football club.
