  1. 1. You're making an all time Prem Leicester Side, your allowed three CB's in your squad, who do you leave out, Morgan's already in

    • Steve Walsh
      38
    • Harry Magiure

    • Matt Elliott

    • Robert Huth

Id have to leave macguire out.  Probably better technically than walsh and elliot (arguably) but walshy bleeds blue and would give everything for the cause.  Handy to stick up front when needed too.  Elliot had a big presence and probably quicker than macguire so gets my vote.

Huth....prem winner.  Enough said

If you are having Morgan in, I’d go Elliott. Often forgotten how good of a footballer he was generally, outskirts of a decent England defence at one point and would often appear in teams of the season in his prime

Was picked for and played for Scotland the year he joined city so when exactly was he on the outskirts of the England team lol

Fofana and Evans won more than Maguire …. Just saying.

Maguire is the obvious answer to “Leave out”, however I’m not sure I’m picking Walsh either.

Matty Elliot was some player and won us the league cup, Walsh Mr Leicester City and a superb centre back and upfront (also won us the Play Off Final Vs Derby in 94) and Huth kept us up and then was a huge contributory factor to us winning the league.

By comparison Maguire did fuch all

Easiest decision ever, no question we could play a flat back 11 and I still wouldn’t include Maguire.

Nothing personal, and he did okay for us, but we’ve had so many better CB even if only start at the start of the Premier League era.

I think there's a majority decision to leave out Maguire which I would agree with, but there's no need for some to make out that he wasn't up to much.  He was still great for us and like Heskey before him, lost something when he got his big move in my opinion.

Loved Elliott.  I thought he was quite a silky footballer along with being a quality centre-half.

Huth is a legend for dragging us from the bottom of the league to the top.  The catalyst for the great escape, title winner and comedy free kick expert.

Steve Walsh is perhaps the most limited player in that company but was a proper spiteful bastard and leader that we lack these days.  He had that Botham-esque quality of making things happen.  True legend.

So where's Jimmy Willis in that list?

Regardless of age I'd take any three of those four back right now. Infact I'd have all four in the squad over what we have now.

Of course you would.  Any of those would be a huge upgrade on what he have now.

I'd take Joe Pasquale over what we have now.

Would leave out Maguire, toss up between Walsh and Elliott, would probably have to reluctantly leave out Walshie as in this era, he’d be suspended for most of the season. Huth seems to be a shoe in.

He was SHIT against Wycombe

And NO-  I will never ever forgive him for the shit I had at work the week after!

I chose Huth because I misread the question.

its an east answer in reality though  - Maguire. He had 1 good season in which we still conceded a bucketload of goals and he bizarrely beat Vardy to POTS when Vardy getting to 20 goals in Puel’s restrictive style was an incredible season, which is probably the most unjust award of the clubs POTS in living memory.

His 1 good season was not as good as Soyuncu and Fofana’s 1 good season too, both of whom I’d have over Maguire.

I didn't have time to sit there and list every Centre Back that is better than Maguire mate, tbf.

I just said the first three that came to my head. They're both better than Maguire in my book.
