You think dropping Ward is going to make us competitive? There's more serious problems on the rest of the pitch!

There are many problems, but Ward was absolutely the most serious.

No but having a goalkeeper that can actually make saves does make a big difference.

4. Stolarkzyk might let a few in tonight.

And then everyone will turn on him, no doubt ::(

A few thoughts from me.

1. Every Liverpool sub, starts for us.

2. Buonanotte must be going back to Brighton.

3. Ayew isn’t as diabolical as people make out, however I’m not so sure I’d be starting him.

4. Stolarkzyk might let a few in tonight.

5. This back 4 is obviously his preferred line up.

Has the same speed of a today's Wayne Rooney

Buonanotte going back in Jan for Ferguson, its clear.

So Brighton call us up and say, "Guys, we want to recall Buonanotte in January so we can sell him and we don't want him to get injured. If you agree not to play him, we'll loan you Ferguson as a token of our appreciation." We agree to this, put Buonanotte on the bench, then throw him on after 84mins against Wolves when the game is already lost and there's nothing to play for, putting him at risk of an injury that would scupper any chance we've got of getting Ferguson.

Yep, makes complete sense.

Very good at holding the ball up. Ideally more suited to maybe an impact sub!

He has been proven to be great comi g on around the 85 Min.

Every time he has started he has been shocking.

Well not shocking he ain't that bad but he isn't great either.

Ward is an odd one because he looks decent in cup games against lower league sides and sometimes better side. The fact he has no bottle or loses his shit so much against bigger sides has clearly gone under the radar until he’s got that big PL contract (and didn’t he get a contract renewed here as well?). I’d be interested to know how close we’ve got to shifting him - I suspect not very close at all.

I remember raising an eye brow when we paid so much for him as a backup. Turns out we we’re all bang on the money.

Even if RVN wanted El Khannouss in the number 10 role, and felt against Wolves Ayew is the more natural on the wing - there is no excuse why he'd play Ayew today having seen how useless he was in that match...

I'd much rather the team had Choudry for Justin (and I've been a long time admirer of JJ but feel like he's not playing well right now), and Buanotte for Ayew.

(I think I'd have had Okoli for Coady too).

Bad enough Vardy is injured, because whether he starts or not, he's able to cause problems, but to play JJ and Ayew puts us at a disadvantage right from the off.

Thank goodness Ward isn't in goal or we may as well just turn the team bus back around now.

I struggle to see what everyone expects?

This is the reality of it all.

I mean yeah, granted Bounanotte's omission is a bit of a strange one but other than that, everyone knows the players we have, the players we have available, what are the other options people expect?

It's the same players Cooper had, no matter who came in they weren't going wave a magic ****ing wand even though most on here thought all our problems were because of Cooper.

It’s the fact he isn’t trying anything else……. Why not try a back three and change to a more counter attack based game? We’ve seen countless times that midfield fail to cut out the passing lanes and expose the back four……. Surely we pack out the middle of the pitch to make us a bit harder to break down.

As it stands we are in the bottom 3 as wolves are winning

Which of our world class defenders did you want him to play instead?

Okoli? Can't do any worse and at least he is semi mobile.
