Player here looking to move in the summer suggests he's not fully committed and head isn't with us. Not what you need in a relegation battle. Move him on now.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's true. He definitely has a chip on his shoulder and seems to think he's better than us and better than he actually is. Not the kind of attitude you want in a relegation battle. Kind of player that has potential, but has never been able to shake off his mistakes. He was making them in the Championship, so he'll likely make twice as many PL. Realistically you'd take anything above 10 mil for him.

Was apparent he wasn't all that very early in his signing when he was outmuscled at Bournemouth for one of their goals; unserious defender.

We've seen these sorts of articles over the past few windows now, it's blatantly his agent touting him about.

Someone may pick him up when his contract ends, but pay the ~£10m we'd probably want before that? Very much doubt it.

How stupid is Rudkin? He actually finds new ways to show his incompetence. Rather than trying to get a good deal for him now, he thinks it’s a good idea to inform  the player and his agent that he can go for half price in the summer!!!! That literally guarantees that the interested clubs are told to wait it out and get a deal.

I sense the same about him tbh together with the fact that his concentration appears to wane dangerously in the second half.

No worse than any of our other centre backs, but not any better either. Get rid if a decent offer comes in and sign Ben Mee for peanuts, he is everything Wout Faes thinks he is.

He’ll turn into prime Carles Puyol from now till May, then get his move to Barcelona.

He won't, but if he does and he helps keep us up that's fine with me.

He'll end up at Den Haag, which would be entirely appropriate.

It be better if he did go in January to open up some funds for a replacement.

Agree but if we are dealing with Roma or the likes the negotiations are usually 6 months+  - so its ok to be in good time :)

If we agreed a deal to be done in June then we could still buy this month

just double wages for six months

A really frustrating player. He has the attributes and the ability to be a high level player.

Unfortunately he is too inconsistent. Even during his better performances he can make blunders.

He doesn't seem capable of concentrating for 90 minutes.

Has he though?

Yes. He looked very good in his few appearances last year and was regulary the highest rated player for a struggling Oxford

I hope some scouts were watching that goal he scored..

Maybe this is the reason he plays the way he does. To try to add worldies to his show reel.

People say this but what are they? He's not very quick, he's not capable of dominating attackers, doesn't read the game really well.

If he cut out the errors he'd definitely be a decent CB at this level, maybe a top half quality starter but he simply doesn't excel at anything that would make him capable of being a nailed on starter at a 'top 6' club
