The 31-year-old is currently plying his trade at Besiktas, although the player has struggled for regular first-team minutes this season under a former manager Oxlade-Chamberlain has featured in just six Turkish Super Lig contests during 2024-25, starting twice, totalling 170 minutes of action in the top flight. There has been a glimmer of hope for the midfielder's future at the Istanbul side in the form of a managerial change, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer joining the club. The ex-Manchester United boss handed Oxlade-Chamberlain his first start of the calendar year on Sunday afternoon, when Besiktas shared the points with Antalyaspor. 1
Sly Posted 27 January Author Posted 27 January https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/alex-oxlade-chamberlain-next-club-34561301 Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain eyed by two Premier League clubs as ex-Liverpool star plots return Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain racked up more than 200 Premier League appearances during spells with Arsenal and Liverpool and could be poised to sign for a third club in the competition Leicester and Wolves are keen to snap up Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain if the midfielder is allowed to leave Besiktas in January, it has been claimed. Oxlade-Chamberlain joined the Turkish club in 2023 after an injury-hit end to his time at Liverpool. He was a Premier League and Champions League winner with the Merseyside club, but was limited to just 13 appearances in his final season at Anfield. Injury issues have persisted at his new club, with a torn thigh muscle keeping the England international out for several months last season. He has yet to complete a full 90 this season, though a change of manager could help kick-start his time in the Super Lig. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now in the dugout, and handed Oxlade-Chamberlain a chance to impress from the start against Antalyaspor on Sunday. If the manager decides to cash in, though, it appears there could be a willing taker in England According to The Sun, Leicester and Wolves are both considering a loan move for the 31-year-old. Championship sides Leeds and Sheffield United have also been linked, leaving his apparent options as a relegation battle or a promotion push. Oxlade-Chamberlain started his professional career with Southampton before spells at Arsenal and Liverpool. He played more than 200 times in the Premier League, but injuries meant the 2019-20 campaign was the only season in which he racked up 30 appearances in the competition.
MPH Posted 27 January Posted 27 January When he’s on fire, he’s on fire and could win us games.. But when he’s dross, he’s dross. Thing is, can we take the 4 dross games for every 1 on fire games?
moore_94 Posted 27 January Posted 27 January Still a walking sick note, we already have enough of them 1
LeePhilpottsBaldSpot Posted 27 January Posted 27 January He's a good player but he just doesn't play in a position I think we need to be prioritising. Then again, I thought we were mad signing Wes Morgan when we already had Matt Mills and Sean St Ledger, so what do I know 1
lcfc sheff Posted 27 January Posted 27 January There will be nothing in this, but if there somehow is, he could only ever be signed on a play and pay contract. **** signing him and him just getting crippled instantly

FrankieADZ Posted 27 January Posted 27 January be typical of us to get someone like this in and they only play 3/4 games and injured for the rest club never learns
Ric Flair Posted 27 January Posted 27 January Would only be interested if this is a multi year deal on £150k a week, we don't just need maximum PL experience, we need it locked down for several years as well. 4
