Might be that only way wolves could sign him is to shift Dawson wages, Coady doesn’t suit us, and as Dawson has no time left on his deal might get some money in the deal which then means we can pursue another signing, I’d do Coady+10m for Dawson and another winger from somewhere

Big loss to the bantz/podcast aspect of the squad if we lose The Con Man. Seriously I still think we should try a back 3 with him in the middle, that’s where he got his England recognition and where he was at his best at Wolves. Dawso is a grittier defender but he’s ancient.

It has to be PSR related. Maybe we are actually planning for the championship and we just need to get Coadys wages off the books now, considering he's rumoured to be on 100k a week.

He's not shit you just had no idea how to use him properly. He's no Van Dijk but he's a very solid sweeper defender and reader of the game. 

 

Trust me, every Wolves fan will be delighted to see him back. He would never have left in the first place but for that ***** Lage getting rid of him because he was too outspoken in the dressing room. 

 

He'll fit what we're trying to do with a back three more than Dawson does now. Dawson will probably fit what you're trying to do defensively too so it makes sense from a footballing perspective. Dawson's age is an issue but it could easily work out. He was probably our best defender last season.

How are we a professional Premier League club honestly.

It's so weird and leftfield that I can only imagine there has been a lot go on behind the scenes, we want him gone for whatever reason and a swap is just a very quick way of facilitating that. 

 

A large percentage of Glovers signings have been bob, but he's also operating with one hand tied behind his back. Whether that's financially, or with a manager wanting "premier league experience". Which on our budget means signing old past it players, or very expensive squad players. 

 

Who knows, Coady is shite so might as well roll the dice as it ain't working currently.

if that's true then I'm all for this deal. Wolves wouldn't match that so we'll probably have to still pay a percentage. Who knows

The only positive I can think of, the ONLY positive, is that I'd rather see a starting centre back pairing of Dawson and Okoli, than Faes and Vestergaard.

The issue isn't a lack of pace. Faes and Vestergaard simply cannot defend. They are just shite players.

 

Simpson, Morgan and Konchesky hardly screamed pace and we added Robert Huth to that.

 

But that team went on to keep 6 clean sheets in our last 14 games.

Only thing that makes sense is, if he is on the reported 100k a week contract and not playing. Getting him off the wage bill is a plus for PSR. At least Dawson puts his body on the line. That's all I've got.
