How in any world do you think this is a realistic concept?

Dunno, maybe it is a stupid theory  BUT none of us actually know who or what is killing our club, everyone is assuming, guessing and accusing without the faintest idea of  what`s going on.

As things stand, we could be reliant on our youth next season.

If you consider we’ll most likely have Fatawu, El Khannous, Alves, Cover, Skipp, Marcel, McAteer, Nelson, Mavididi etc still here, we have some technical ability.

Winks appears to have been put out to sit in the corner and will be moved on. Personally I rate him but I know that’s diverse. He was a cheat code for how good he was in the Championship in my opinion. He’s a better version of Skipp (who we didn’t need).

Choudhury will actually suffice in the destroyer role if we need someone. People will role their eyes but we aren’t spending loads. If he doesn’t leave, we’ll play him.

Ndidi, Winks, Hermansen, Daka, Okoli, Kristiansen, Soumare, Coady and Faes are the ones I’d tipped to be sold.

I love Ricky but he’s not the same player. We’ll most likely get to see him captain us next season. We’ll also keep Vestergaard, Justin, Nelson, Souttar, Thomas with backup from the reserves.

That leaves Vardy, Ward, Iversen leaving on frees.

Replacing Vardy is the challenge. If we don’t sell Daka, it’ll be him leading the line. People will groan but we don’t have the headroom to have 2 strikers now on that type of money. He will be backed up by Evans, Reid and Ayew.

We’ll sign a random backup goalkeeper.

I see next season as book balancing, with another clear out the year after, as so many contracts of higher earners are then up for renewal.

I’d imagine next season it’ll be something like:

GK : Stolarkzyk, NEW, *Youth*

DF : Coulibaly, Ricardo, Justin, Thomas, Vestergaard, Nelson, Souttar, *Youth*

MF : McAteer, Fatawu, Mavididi, Monga, Alves, El Khannous, Skipp, Choudhury *Youth*

FW : Daka, Evans, Ayew, Reid

The clear out will help with the fan base perception, as most of what is disliked about the club now, will be gone.that squad is capable of competing.

I know he’s not hit the ground running at Hull (and I kind of hope it stays that way) but I would absolutely love if we could get Louie Barry in.  I’d be happy if he was the only addition to the squad if we keep the ones you’ve listed.

only other gap is in cm  and I’d personally be keeping winks if we can’t get a fair fee

How do we know that he (Apichet) and other board members are not the problem, maybe restricting or even blocking what Top would like to spend or do?

Given Top has a majority controlling stake, it would be unlikely but given we can’t spend anymore due to FFP, it would be an understandable premise if the family didn’t want Top to continually get throwing the fortune at it.

The owners inability to correctly deal with responsibilities and lack of direct communication has people speculating. So you have a lot of rumour making up the void

But if Souttar's all round game is never going to be good enough long term then we need to find a better option now while CB is arguably our biggest priority.

Okoli is dreadful in the air. Not only is his aerial duels won hilariously low but he fails to even track his runner and make the duel in the first place a lot of the time.

Height isn't everything. Vestergaard is a crane but he's in the 32nd percentile for aerial duels which is frankly hideous.

Nelson is a tad better in the 57th but that's not enough. You're looking to have at least one CB well and truly in the 90s.

You need to have at least one aerially dominate CB for longer term premier league survival, it's why Mings used to be so vital for Villa despite having a lot of mistakes in him.

I think we need two completely new CBs because I think we've ****ed around for years neglecting the position and I'm fed up of us being defensively terrible. We need two absolute horrible bastards back there, a return to Wes and Huth, that strikers are going to completely dread playing against.

I generally don't tend to advocate caveman football but I think the squad needs SOME needle, we need more warriors and ideally at the back. I want Nelson to be a long term success here but he seems like a fairly nice, cultured lad. We need at least one if not more complete bastards to play with him and I don't see that in Souttar who also happens to be possibly the slowest footballer I've ever seen.

That's just daft IMO. Winks was just absolutely unbelievable in the Championship last time out. He was far too good for that level and was brilliant beating the press and getting out. He's been completely wasted this season by managers who have no use for him tactically, I can't fault him for wanting out, it's been a crap year.

JJ, eh, he's fine. He's good enough. He had an absolutely torrid time with very little support at the start of the season. Would I like us to get a better left back? Yes of course but he's good enough to get us promoted and we have other positions we desperately need to fill more urgently.

The problem with JJ is his total inability to operate under any form of pressure. Press him and he'll give you the ball or knock it out of play. Almost without fail.

As a top end team who will likely dominate possession next season, we can't afford that weak link. I'd take Doyle back on loan before playing Justin, even with his limitations.

On CBs, I think Souttar would be fine as your horrible, aerially dominant centre half for next season if he's paired with somebody with some pace. As it happens we don't appear to rate him, so hopefully we make it the priority area for our recruitment you're looking for.

I really cannot see BEK playing for us in the championship next season, for one he is without doubt our most talented player and way too good for that level, really cannot see a player of his calibre hanging about to play the likes of Oxford, Stoke, Hull and PNE on cold wet Tuesday evenings.

Also any scouting reports will look beyond what is deemed fairly low goal involvement stats to see for the majority of the season we have been playing largely anti attacking football, on any occasion we have adopted an attacking philosophy he has looked so dangerous and often been the games where he has got a goal or assist.

Put him in a half decent attacking structure and he will net 15 goal involvements, rest assured there will be a few clubs prepared to take a punt at probably £30m on him.

Don’t think as many will leave as we maybe think/ would hope. No one is daft enough to pay them what we pay.

That being said hope we use our academy lads to replace most of those who do go. Early guess of what we could look like next season, includes 11 academy lads in/ around the squad.

Stolarczyk / New GK / Young

Justin / Coulibaly

Okoli / Souttar

Nelson / Coady (or Vesty)

New LB / Thomas

Winks / Braybrooke

Skipp / Hamza / Cartwright

Fatawu / BDCR / Evans

Bilal / Alves

Mavididi / McAteer / Monga

New ST / Daka

Leicester City v Wrexham should be interesting games.

Its more than likely that it will be Wycombe and not Wrexham.

New manager. New DOF. new scouts.

Jacob - New Gk

Justin, Nelson, Souttar, Caleb (if he stays), Thomas - new rb, lb and maybe cb.

Skipp, new cm, Alves, new cm (I think Wilf goes and Bouba definitely does)

Mavididi, Fatawu, maybe Bilal, new winger, new 10.

New striker

That’s at least 9/10 new signings plus a new manager and management team behind him. There is talent in this group for that league but it needs to be an actual rebuild this time.

Wycombe have Charlton (4th) and Stockport (5th) and Leyton Orient (6th) to play. Wrexham also have Charlton to play. It will be an intriguing and tight final few games and Charlton could even do it given the form they are on and playing both of those immediately above.

Either way, with the playoffs as well, there’s a good chance we will be facing Wrexham, Stockport or Leyton Orient (maybe 2 if Wrexham got autos). A stark reminder that we will be playing a league games against a side(s) who were in the non-league as recently as Rodger’s was at this club in all 3 of those clubs cases.

But this is all ok of course and should be in line with our expectations.

Be similar to last year, we will want to off load players and struggle to find buyers, but we will still one of the largest spenders.

Suspect Hermansen, El Khannouss go, along with those out of contract, Ward, Iversen and Vardy.

We need a manager who can build a culture for the long term and reshape squad, we need some in the mold a Pearson for the modern age.

There's potential and hope for next season. On the whole, we have a competitive squad at hand.

However – first of all, I'd get rid of all the players that did not want to be here in the first place and showed a distinct lack of effort (or talent). Also, most older players can go.

Goalkeepers: Can we finally find a buyer for Ward?

Defenders: Sell Faes, Vestergaard and potentially Coady. Convert Kristiansen into a centre-back. Give Okoli a starting role, think about converting Justin into a winger and give Coulibaly the chance to shine, and Luke Thomas, too. Ben Nelson could be back for a full season. Are we counting on Harry Souttar? I think in terms of CB, we'll be a bit spoiled for choices.

Midfielders: Sell Soumaré. Play Skipp and see if his price tag is justified. Winks (if he stays) could redeem himself. Ricardo Pereira has flourished in midfield, I must say. El Khannouss looks promising, and maybe we can get a deal for Buonanotte, I like him as a player. If not, find a more experienced attacking midfielder.

Wingers: Apart from a few instances. Cordova-Reid and Ayew have been very underwhelming. Simply never fitted in here, they just trotted along and appear to be in for one final paycheck. Sell. Mavidi can be selfish at times, but he's talented and a threat going forward. With McAteer and a recovering Fatawu and another talented young(er) left-winger, I think we'd be spoiled for choices.

Strikers: Keep Vardy. Don't know what to make of Daka. What was the point of signing Edouard and selling Cannon? Still need two more strikers. Anyone in the academy good enough to fit the fourth slot?

Also: If we do – can we please sign players that aren't past their prime?

In general, improving our defense should be priority number one. Our back four should be feared, not the butt of a joke! We ought to be very tough to break down and work from there. Just look at what Burnley are achieving in the Championship this season, incredibly low goals-against average!
We need more presence and punch in midfield. And leaders to carry attacks forward. We^ve been way too lightweight in the PL so far this season and been brushed aside too easily. There's been a distinct lack of cohesion and attacking intent.

And we're in dire need of a manager who prioritizes discipline and teamwork above anything else.

One more thing to look forward to next season. No worries about yet another clanger from our top Welsh goalkeeper!

Surprised at how many players think we’ll be able to sell.

Personally I think the only one who will definitely go is Hermansen, maybe BEK.

The rest we will really struggle to get rid of. We will get rid of some of them, but I’m thinking 1/2 rather than 4/5.

I'm expecting that King Power will proudly announce that Danny Ward has just signed a new 5 year contract and will be the number one choice next year following the departure of all other goalkeepers.

Foreign clubs will look at Faes, Vestergaard, Kristiensen and Soumare.

We might have some lower end EPL/ promoted clubs look at Ndidi, BDCR and Ayew.

Coady, Winks and Daka will be the ones we struggle with most.

Can’t see many players being sold.

we have rejected bids for Macateer, Iversen and others in the past. What’s going to change??

Selling off our two assets only to be replaced by someone who is 33 on 50k a week.

what the **** has happened to our recruitment!? It’s genuinely a talent to go from the elite level it was to the worst in England. King power out!
