Will be interesting to see how he does as i can't help but feel that he's just a social media trend who's become 'internet famous' under the myth of paving his management career solely from Football Manager.

Let's see how the Tik Tok sensation does.

Hasn't this just come about cause his bird is ill? Feels like it's opportunist more than anything...doesn't feel like he's enthralled about the job in all honesty...from the outset at least anyway!

I'm much less convinced that Ipswich romp to the title next year given the way they've limped through the last leg of the PL. They carried a lot of momentum last time around, but could carry the opposite this time.

Ourselves and Saints probably start with a new manager in charge and a refreshed squad. Don't think the same will be true for Ipswich.

ITV still got the rights to highlights for next season?

Yes and more live games.

Manning is from the Norwich area so probably sees the move there as a move back home .

And more money to earn /spend.

Will Still will be an interesting one.

I've seen a few videos of him on the training pitch with his players, and you can see he communicates well with them and gets his ideas across well.  But then I saw that thing he did on sky where he showed the prep he did with his players before a game and it looked like a kid doing a powerpoint.  I thought it was bollocks to be honest.  With slides not particularly showing anything, with a few arrows and coloured boxes and very much looking like a video game screen.  Saying that, he knows his audience, so that's probably the best way to communicate to them.

Yeah, considering most football players get heavily praised if they can talk like a normal human being in an interview, this is probably the way forward

I honestly see it as a gamble. If it goes wrong, you can imagine Saints fans absolutely slaughtering their board for appointing a Football Manager obsessive who's popular on TikTok.

Bookies have us missing out on promotion next year… look how far we have fell🤣

Think we were 7th favourites (does 7th and favourites go together?) with bet365, but that's going to be largely because of the possible points deduction as much as the manager position.

Probably a good time to get a bet on with the intention of laying it off if you think we won't get hammered on arrival with a big points deficit to make up.

Not arsed next season, just as long as we dont do a Luton due to the points deduction and Nistelrooy goes and we should also get rid of some usless "bumph" too but will we have any cash ? I'm gonna go for 18th , 19th, or 20th finish... but Im not sure if we will have the balls to get out of the bottom 3 especially if its 8 points, it wont be 12 as apparantley its capped at 8.

oh and love to watch Forest collapse next season....

Nothing to do with three very solid seasons in an European top flight. Weird revisionist comments on him.

Did very well with Reims for two seasons, this season with Lens pretty standard

After a terrible season it is difficult to be positive, but it is my nature.

I can’t help but feel we will have no problems winning next season. Yes, behind the scenes we are a mess and we have a lot of dead wood in the squad, but as a squad, IMO, we certainly have a team of players better than the championship. A lot not good enough for Prem, but better than the Championship.

Personally, I think we need to be looking at new midfielders and a new striker as our priorities.

But that’s just me.

The broader market has us fifth behind Ipswich, Southampton, Sheffield United and Birmingham. This smacks of lazy ante-post predictions with very little money in the market.

1) Ipswich- Keeping their manager.

2) Southampton- Appointed a promising young manager.

3) Sheffield United - Came within a hair's breadth of promotion.

4) Birmingham - Loads of money and broke records in League One.

5) Us - Crap manager, uncertainty over his replacement and possible points deduction.

You can see the logic, but once Ipswich lose Delap, Sheffield United see loanees go back and lose Hamer and Birmingham realise they can't spend it all because of PSR, you can see movement in the odds.

I think Birmingham will get found out more so for having Chris Davies in charge. I have nothing against the bloke and while he has strolled to a record points tally, it will be a whole other level against a jump up in quality and a league that has greater depth of opposition. I don't think they will be towards the bottom but I think they'll struggle to be serious promotion contenders despite their budget.
