upper part off midtable but this team will be dismantled at the end of the season if there is any real ambition left in the current ownership, personally I do not think there is.

Honestly if we do go down for what it's worth I think we will. I can unfortunately see relegation to League 1, the EFL can't wait to hit us with a points deduction and a transfer embargo. They will want to make an example out of us so can see them hitting with a sizable points deduction.

I think at best you would hope a top half finish 10th at best if we are lucky go on a run and make it to 6th depending on our final 10 games but truth be told it’s going to be a slog and not easy on the eye.

 

One is thing certain though, the likes of Norwich City, Sunderland , Middlesbrough, Sheffield Wednesday, Birmingham City , Ipswich, Stoke City, Coventry City and WBA will all finish above us.

Well didn't we argue that when we were in the Championship last year that we couldn't be charged by the Premier League cause we were in the Championship. So we would fail the Championship version of FFP so would fully expect to be charged by the EFL next season if we go down?

You only have to look at Sheff Utd this season to see the gulf between the premiership and the Championship.  Sheff Utd who were getting thumped, like us, 4 and 5 last season.  Even with the poor squad we have we will finish top 6 in the Championship next season.  Yes, even with a points deduction.

If it started the season well and confidence grew this squad would get promoted. Mindset and mentality makes a huge difference. We couldnt have the front 3 as Vardy, Ayew and Reid though.

They signed decent players at that level have a competent manager, we don't mate and aren't getting someone experienced.

I would take 3/4 years in the championship if it meant this board, coaching team and squad was replaced. 
 

Get rid of whoever we can this summer and get our academy talent playing. Would rather support a bunch of teenagers who lose more than they win than these pathetic lot

I think with a reasonably capable manager we would be quite capable of achieving top 6, the championship is mostly dross. 

 

That said, if it started badly I could also see us being very table. I think suggesting a double relegation is doom mongering. People said the same the year before last. Yeah it happened to Luton but that's not comparable, they were never an established side and just getting to the PL for them was huge.

We don't want this team in the championship that is the whole problem are suffering at the moment we are stuck with a load of overpaid players who couldn't care, it's rotten to the core, the quicker we can off load players the better, until that happens the problem will only get worse

There is enough quality in the squad to be in the top 6, with a decent manager. We had all this in 2023 with people predicting double relegation. It won't happen. Club will always have issues under this ownership but the right appointment can result in success on the pitch.
