You can schedule posts to social media

This is the club that couldn't get the fax machine working on time during the social media age - I wouldn't put anything past them!

Then they need to sack the people managing it as it's the simplest procedure and standard practice.

Agree.

They've already posted some stuff today on X so the Sunday not at work excuse can't work.

Do they normally wish former players a happy birthday?

Love the guy, he's pretty much my favourite ever player. But he's gone.

****ing loads of genuinely important stuff to be mad at the club for and people care about this?

I fear I may be the reason for this lol

it is quite ironic that we went on a crusade to get the club to stop wishing people happy birthday and now we’re upset that they’ve not wished someone happy birthday lol

Id see this as a positive personally. I didn’t spend pre season sending ranty emails and DM’s about our piss poor socials to be sitting looking at a “happy birthday GOAT” post on a rainy Sunday!

Can do both in my opinion. And at the same time...

If they have stopped it then fair enough.

You also can't blame people for thinking the club would absolutely leave Vardy out because he pissed a few people like Lord Rudkin off though either.

Doesn't bode well for having the stand named for him or the statue. Hope he's still alive and around when King Power sell up so it can be done then.

Anything that isn't King Power related will never be given the time of day by this owner.

Thai influencers are more important to Top than Jamie Vardy is.

I get what you are saying but for me whilst this isn’t seen as a major oversight by some or something to rant or vent about, it’s yet another example of the lack of awareness by the club, another own goal, another incident where they have failed to read the room.

We were promised a closer connection, more communication and yet since that point the club have managed to score a number of own goals, some bigger than others.

It’s just another example of the fact that is club so out of tune with its fanbase.

I think they stopped with the cringe happy birthday posts a while ago.

I'd rather that policy than being told somebody like Riccardo Scimecca or Darren Kenton is celebrating their birthday every time I log onto social media.

It looks like the last former player’s birthday we mentioned on social media was Ulloa last July. Since then a number of current players have been wished a happy birthday, but no former ones. So maybe there’s just been a change in policy.

Controversial opinion; I get if you do it for GTF you do it for the GOAT, but any grown up who cares if their football club didn’t wish someone a happy birthday on social media needs a good look in the mirror!

It was Heskey's birthday yesterday too and he didn't get a mention, so club must've stopped doing it. Although it would've been nice if they did put up something, as 2 of our greatest strikers share a birth date.

It's not just that though is it? It's a culmination of the lack of class and respect these frauds show to the club and the fans. Sure if it was just this in isolation I'd agree with your point but there's a much wider picture

People were moaning about the birthday messages a while back.

They were, and rightly so. It's a bit daft for a club's social media to be posting about former player's birthdays. Hence presumably why the stopped doing it six months ago.
