TheUltimateWinner Posted 20 May 2025 Posted 20 May 2025 Yep, definitely made the right decision not renewing my ST. 4
HankMarvin Posted 20 May 2025 Posted 20 May 2025 (edited) All the smart arses slagging of Borson that he knows nothing don’t look so smart now “If you take their numbers and stick them into a PSR calculator, it looks like they failed by quite a long way for 2023-24, certainly on my numbers. “I think they were very close to failing or have failed and maybe something will come out either way depending on what happens with this case that they’ve got ongoing related to 2022-23.” Edited 20 May 2025 by HankMarvin 1
pmcla26 Posted 20 May 2025 Posted 20 May 2025 Did they really change the rules just to charge us? Doesn't set a great precedent for football if this is what they can do, even if we are in the wrong, too. 1
Langston Posted 20 May 2025 Posted 20 May 2025 Just now, hejammy said: Basically the EPL has a group of friends with lots of money and make them lots of money - one bright day, an unrulily lad, with an unorthodox style, crashed a party that was only for the elite friends of the EPL, they hated it, that same lad then didn't embarrass themselves when they went to play with even bigger bunch of lads, so EPL hated him more. Then they tried to tell the headmaster that the lad should be put in detention, the headmaster said, nah you can't tell me what to do as he now goes to a different school. EPL hated us even more. 1 2
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 20 May 2025 Posted 20 May 2025 Wish this had been announced prior to Sundays game, would have put a taint on all the happy clappy positive spin that the clubs cynical 'Vardy Party' and saved them from getting some serious abuse. 1
LibertyFox Posted 20 May 2025 Posted 20 May 2025 (edited) This from Sky Sports seems to contradict the LCFC statement…. Edited 20 May 2025 by LibertyFox
MancFox24 Posted 20 May 2025 Posted 20 May 2025 I'm so lost with all this PSR stuff. Why are the PL charging us for a season when we were in the Championship? I thought that was the loophole we'd found which meant they couldn't do that
Gamble92 Posted 20 May 2025 Posted 20 May 2025 So typical of the club's statement to be all about their success against the appeal with a quick mention that they've actually failed PSR again in the last paragraph. Even worse than this kind of spin still works with the happy clappers. 2

Our statement makes it very easy to think we have won, when in fact I read it that they couldn’t previously charge us because their rules meant we wernt under their jurisdiction but they now can. So we one 1 charge and they won the other.

Les-TA-Jon Posted 20 May 2025 Posted 20 May 2025 1 minute ago, LibertyFox said: This from Sky Sports seems to contradict the LCFC statement…. No, the Leicester statement confirms that: LCFC successfully defended the PL's challenge to the appeal board (when we successfully argued we were no longer a PL club after relegation in 2023 and wriggled out of a PSR breach) But since that result, the PL immediately charged LCFC with breaches - Failing EFL PSR for 23/24; failure to provide PL accounts by 31 Dec 2024; failure to assist PL with inquiries 2

Our statement doesn't even mention a charge. Just like our post after Liverpool didn't mention relegation. People probably think it's a joke when people mention the King Power propaganda machine run by Anthony but it's a real thing. 10
lcfc_forever Posted 20 May 2025 Posted 20 May 2025 Adding the club's statement here so it's in one thread. https://www.lcfc.com/pages/en/media-article/lcfc-statement-20-may-2025 LCFC Statement: 20 May, 2025 Leicester City FC notes the Tribunal decision which has been published today. The Club is pleased that it successfully defended the Premier League’s challenge to the Appeal Board decision in relation to the PSR assessment period ending FY23, which was the main focus of these proceedings. The Premier League’s own rules provide a deliberately high threshold for any challenge to the decision of an Appeal Board. In this case, the Appeal Board’s decision was only capable of being overturned if it could be shown to have resulted from a “perverse interpretation of the law” or was a decision “which could not reasonably have been reached”. The Appeal Board decision was reached by a highly experienced panel (including two former Court of Appeal judges) and, although the tribunal may have disagreed with the decision, it dismissed the Premier League’s challenge, finding (consistent with the arguments made by the Club all along) that the Appeal Board decision “could not sensibly be seen as resulting from a perverse interpretation of the law”. The tribunal also concluded that the Premier League was successful in establishing jurisdiction on one of the two grounds argued by the Premier League with respect to the assessment period ending FY24, and the Premier League has now referred this to an independent Commission. Consistent with its previous commitments, the Club intends to engage cooperatively in this matter now that the Premier League’s jurisdiction has been established for the period ending FY24. However, we will not be able to comment further on these proceedings until they are concluded, due to their confidential nature.
Ian Nacho Posted 20 May 2025 Posted 20 May 2025 The best thing for the club at this point would be to have a season or two where we essentially don't even try to get to a point where the books look alright.
Les-TA-Jon Posted 20 May 2025 Posted 20 May 2025 So back in January the PL said all clubs had passed PSR and yet now they're charging us for failing 23/24 anyhow? 3
goose2010 Posted 20 May 2025 Posted 20 May 2025 Yet people STILL support this board!! If only this had come on Friday before there massive (and successful) propaganda day on Sunday! 1

Was you at the game? “Rudkin out” was the loudest it has ever been all season at that game, Fans also took the opportunity to make it known when Vardy was asked to say something and although it’s been turned down it’s still audible on the live stream video on YouTube 1
brookfox Posted 20 May 2025 Posted 20 May 2025 Ngl, I’m starting to regret my full back Nick de Marco tattoo. 3
