We absolutely obliterated Southampton under Martin in the championship ffs. What are they thinking

Well similar to when we beat them 9-0! one of the defenders on the pitch that day was donkey Vestergaard for Southampton, come the summer we sign him

Sick of signing Southampton rejects.

Top told Enzo he wanted a team that play like Man City.

I never get this. I forgot more about football in my in my sleep last night than Top will ever know about football..

If I bought a racehorse, or NFL, I wouldn't have a clue to demand how the nags ran (make it run like the fast ones!) or what gamebook to employ (make them play like Patrick Machines does!) ....well that's Top with football.

I’m at the point that I’ll take anyone over Ruud. I share a lot of that concerns about Martin that most of you do but if he did get the job I’d support him - there’s no point not giving him a chance - even Cooper was given every opportunity by the fans.I actually appreciated Enzo ball and Martin is closer to that. I’d rather have Martin to Dyche but I’d get behind him too despite the hoofball. Ruud has to go. He showed minimal respect to the fans after games and made crazy selections the whole time he was here,  culminating in VK on the wing yesterday whilst Monga watched from the bench.

No offence, mate, but I think this is a dangerous attitude to take. I don't think we should accept mediocrity (Martin) just because it's not total shite (Ruud). Southampton have attracted Will Still from Lens, why shouldn't we be more ambitious and go for Rosenior from Strasbourg, or even Rohl from Wednesday (not even particularly ambitious)?

Obviously we have total morons running this club, so a well-thought out and ambitious appointment won't happen.

I'm hearing it's a done deal for Martin. Should be announced early tomorrow.

I really, really hope not. Bet they can't believe what they're seeing down on the south coast, as we employ another of their cast-offs. It's ****ing embarrassing

We all know it’s going to be Martin. Nothing we can really do to change it. We know the club doesn’t listen, so best to just get behind him at this point.

If he plays youth, I’m happy. For me, I want a team of younger energetic players that actually want to be here. Monga, Evans, Nelson, Aluko, and Alves are such a bright group of players and a great core to start from.

Yet still not a word from any of the more reliable journalists that follow us. If it’s all but done, why are they all keeping so quiet about it?

Difference between appointing Enzo and Martin... Enzo joined the foxes after being part of the Pep's coaching team that won the league 3 times in a row.... Martin joined the foxes being part of Southampton team that sat rock bottom of the premier league. Very inspiring stuff from Top and Rudkin. :(

Also not forgetting his Southampton team last season we're 2-0 up against us and ended up losing 2-3! the most we scored away all season lol

Maybe as they got burnt with Potter/Cooper last year?

Or hopefully because its not done.

I’ll take him over Ruud but is this the best we can do. Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel but that’s where we are at the minute.

100% gone by Christmas.

Was thinking I’d rather RVN stay than have Martin, then I saw the team yesterday.

same, don’t want Martin but RVN is totally and utterly dreadful.

The point I was making is anyone is better than RVN. There’s absolutely no way Rosenior is leaving Strasbourg to drop down to The Championship having just signed a new contract and with his team playing in European competition next season. As for Rohl, where has he shown anything above mediocrity in his time here at England?

Bad as each other to be fair... Ruud tbf picked up more wins in his defence

Russell prem Wins: 1 out of 17

Ruud Prem Wins: 4 out of 25

Another paint-by-numbers appointment. No long term strategy, no thinking outside the box, just another name that failed somewhere else.

If he plays the youth and we're sitting in the top 6 people will get behind him but we've seen his football. We've seen the flaws. There will be plenty of self-inflicted wounds next season.

Ruud is less of a c**k than this tinpot Rodgers wannabe

Is he? Did Martin celebrate on the pitch with the opposition star players after every Southampton defeat?

Did Martin refuse to pick his six or seven better players every week?
