Leeds paid less for Tanaka and Stach combined than we did for Skipp

Lmao

But, but premier league experience...

If you lean into the ball to block it with your arm, it's always been a penalty and always should be.

They've always leant towards being given. It's the angling of his body, has always been risky

Choosing who you would rather win out of Leeds and Everton is like being asked if you'd rather shag your Mum or your Gran.

Definitely your mum

where does he put his arm then lol

He might be trying to put his arm away but he still leans into the ball and that's the part of his body it hits?  He's moved towards the ball - it hasn't just hit his arm

I'm as anti-penalties as anyone but even I don't have a huge problem with that being given. Can't really be leaning to block goalbound shots with your arms can you?

Moyes clapping and happy for his team's National League North performance.

Farke also clapping for his masterclass of dreadful football. Then he goes to Tanaka to give more masterclass advice because the camera was on him.

Leeds fans are over the moon they won the Galaxy Trophy vs Everton.

Happy days.

Maybe let's not judge how a team's whole season is gonna go after the first game? People saying Leeds and Sunderland will be fine after they both won, but even we managed 4 points from West Ham H and Everton H last season. Everton also lost away at Southampton.

Leeds looked bright and fed off the fans energy. Whether they can keep it up for a whole season remains to be seen. KDH was poor I felt but the same could be said for his team mates.

To be fair I’m pretty sure Farke was just saying “play it into the corner next time” after Tanaka went for another goal on 94 mins

Firstly, I’m not saying we will be anywhere near promotion bevuase I really dont think we will but if we did, I think it would be brilliant for us bewly

promoted teams to stay up. It just means that next year any relagation battle may consist of promoted teams and other non established teams.

Obviously it doesn’t matter anyway as we won’t get promoted and it will make it harder to get out next year. Haha

Does that get overturned if it’s not given as a penalty? I would say no. Again, the problem with the referees call. One week you see them given, the next week you don’t simply because one individual thinks different to another when they should all be singing from the same hymn sheet.

I mean I was definitely over the top, but felt really awkward. It was the goal scorer.

Tarkowski saying he can't understand how it's a penalty even if he leaned into it:

Quote

It is an offence if a player:

  • deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, for example moving the hand/arm towards the ball

Leaning in is moving your arm towards the ball.

Moyes rocking up to Elland Road and setting up like hes playing Real Madrid. Leeds deserved the win and I agree with the pen shout. Tarkowski knew was he was doing, he just probably thought he would get away with it

Anybody but Leeds (or Forest) and this place would be unanimously calling it a clear pen.Which it was. Leant into a shot headed on-target and blocked it with his arm.

In any event Everton have no grounds for complaint, against a newly-promoted side they were negative and posed almost no threat whatsoever. Debatable whether Leeds have enough quality in attack to survive (though they're about to add a dangerous forward in Okafor) but box-to-box they look good enough to have a chance. Sunderland as well.

i take it those who are saying its a pen are professional referees then ? no, not a penno, ref never saw it and had to rely on the lino, should of checked the video monitor

but the white stinking fetid turd deserved the win unfortunately

but sick of the pundits spvnking themselves dry over them already

Whether or not he knew what he’s doing or not, the goal bound ball hits his arm.

Pen for me, all day

Its not like he was stood there and it hit him, he flung himself left and deflected a goal bound shot with his arm, which happened to be at his side.  No arm, no deflection.
