Celebrated that Wolves goal like it was a Leicester goal...serves those time wasting, cheating, play acting Arsenal players right

That's the title flopped again then in true Arsenal fashion.

Absolutely love it.

Wonder what lego heads excuse will be for this one.

Could have put this in a number of threads but seeing as i'm quoting Gibbs-White here will do as lastnight he & his merrymen showed all football fans what charlatans footballers really are.
After an easy win Gibbs-White comes out with the "We had a real identity out there today. We defended incredibly and created so many chances, it could've been more" this is all aimed at influences / changes Pereira has made.
"His message to us is we are going to have an identity of how we play and defend as a team, we have bought into what he wants straight away."

Not to go all Big Sam but get rid of the lot of them, what changes ffs he started work on Monday he had 3 days with them, they played in the exact formation & other than reverse starting roles to Jesus/Lucca the same team played lastnight as against Wolves a week prior.

Pereira has changed little, he's hasn't been able to, In essence the very same players decided to put some effort in lastnight that's all.

I'm no fan of Dyche but this really pee'd me off, if he said it after 7-8 games i could get onboard but to say they have a clear identity just 7 days after the last game with exactly the same players & formation & a new manager being in the building 3 days who's he trying to pull...really hope Dyche comes back with something tbh, footballers always the victims.

Pretty sure they’ll get themselves out of trouble but for a club with t/over £500m to be relegated would be incredible and amount to Lcfc levels of mismanagement

Difference is they get that turnover because of good financial management. That's what's starved their on field progression. In spite of that they've spent more than enough to be nowhere near the trouble they find themselves in.

If would absolutely be the biggest club to be relegated.

The world is fretting over Arsenal's play-style as if it's not just the counter to the previous most successful style of play.

Chelsea, Leicester and Chelsea again implemented a very successful counter attacking style of play that relied on defensive solidity and pace in attack to win titles in the mid-2010s. Other teams then try and replicate this success.

Man City then turned that on it's head with Pep Guardiola's Tiki-Taka style of play that ensured the counter attack wasn't successful because you simply couldn't get the ball off of them in dangerous areas. Other teams then try and replicate this success.

Klopp's heavy metal football was the counter to this by pressing these teams to within an inch of their lives until they made mistakes. Other teams then try and replicate this success.

Pep then reinvented his Tiki-Taka by employing defenders who could push into midfield. With extra men in midfield it makes you very press-resistant. Other teams then try and replicate this success.

Arteta is now relying on big athletic lads who are desperate to head the ball and who can turn every set piece into a huge opportunity. When you're playing teams who fancy their chances as mini-Man City then you're easily bullied and you can't do much with the ball when it's almost never in play. Other teams will try and replicate this success (some already are).

I'm not clever enough to predict the next change in the game but you can bet that in a couple of years time, those who want to play with 4 centre halves and 60 minutes play time per game will be found out at the top level. If I were to guess though, it wouldn't surprise me to see the classic counter attack come back into fashion. I'm sure our 15/16 team would beat this current Arsenal team.

Palace may offload glasner before the summer when he was leaving anyway

presumably Franck the favourite if they do ???

I think they'll do it as soon as it's clear they won't go down and yeah surely they're already going after Frank.

Didn't realise it had gone out of fashion? Most teams try and play that way where possible. But you can't rely on it as a top team because of increasingly defensive structures - low blocks with no attempt to press is the Kryptonite of counter attacking. Only reason it worked so well for us is nobody took LCFC seriously for most the season.

Frank would be a good fit for Palace IMHO.

Everything is going wrong so far for Spurs (and Forest). Big game later that West Ham one. If they win it it's going to be mayhem tomorrow at Spurs stadium and I wouldnt rule out big protests especially if Arsenal score early.

Come on West Ham.

They've been much better today than earlier in the season.

Deserve something from the game.

A relief that Mads has done OK as you really feared for him at the start if the season.
