Non alcoholic beer

I know it’s a contradiction,but the docs told me I have to give up alcohol.

Problem is, I do like a pint.

So can anyone recommend a non alcoholic beer that tastes a little bit like beer.

I gave up a few years ago, Lucky Saint has always been the one for me.. You can tell the difference of course but if its a hot day like today I'd barely notice.. 

Think most NA lager on draft is broadly fine tbh!! Big Drop and Brulo beers are all quite decent if you dont want just lager!!

I've struggled with the lager ones as they seem to lack taste.  Guinness 0 is pretty decent as does taste quite like the alcoholic version.  Most varieties have a 0% equivalent so try the closed to your usual tipple.

Lucky Saint by far the best I’ve had and always have them in the fridge at home, the new lemon 1 is a nice summer bev. Asahi and Guinness both do really decent 0%ers too

If you mean beer rather than lager try Ghost Ship 0.5%

Lucky Saint and Guiness Zero are really good, and if you like an IPA, I recommend the alcohol free neck oil. I’ve not drank this year, and drink any of the above when I’m out, and the stigma of being teetotal has gone. I recommend it to anyone, to try for a while, the health benefits are phenomenal.

I'll second what people have said above. Guiness, Lucky Saint and the Aldi Pilsner are all pretty good. Leffe is also a decent 0!

 

I must admit the fruity ciders are good as 0s in this heat too!

Second the latter point. Wife always gets the 0% Kopparberg that I've been known to pinch on a hot day.

Northern Monk's Holy Faith is nice.

 

Lucky Saint's lager and hazy IPA are both good as well.

 

Guinness 0.0 is probably the one I drink most often.

Charnwood Brewery Masquerade is the best one I've had but not cheap. Lucky Saint, Brooklyn Hoppy lager, Erdinger, Impossibrew and Guinness 0 all decent.

I drink non alcoholic when I'm at home. Peroni, Heineken and Brooklyn are what I go for. People keep recommending Lucky Saint but I've not got round to trying that yet.

 

Sorry to hear Doctor say you've got to give alcohol up but you will enjoy the recommendations in this thread and not miss alcohol!

I’ve been on non alcoholic beers for a number of months now. To contradict everybody else I don’t like the Guinness 0, it’s just a touch too sweet and it leaves a bad after taste after half of one to me. I like the corona bottles and the little Heineken cans. They are a godsend in the heat. Being a recovering alcoholic I don’t know if they are good long term, in regards to staying sober, but for now when the urge comes of a

sunny evening they are an absolute god send, the not getting drunk and escaping reality part is a bit rubbish at the time, but when it’s past and you realise you don’t feel like the world is closing in it’s a great feeling. I’ll knock them on the head at some point and go for a healthier drink, water and smoothies, but for now it is keeping the demons at bay.

If you can get a company shop membership they sell them at 6 for a quid. Completely pot luck what they have, if any, but I've always been able to pick up peronis, heinekens, coronas, free damm, erdinger every time I've been, and they're all decent. Plus others I've not bothered trying.
