I’m not taking offense per se. fats means well we know he does care about the fans and his team. This is just another symptom of the crap slide this club is in. Unity has broken down. This will be our undoing this season sadly. Some players feel it’s them vs the fans which is wrong.

at the same time maybe just maybe we as fans have to accept the limitations of some of these players. Like daka will try but he’s not gonna score goals. Vesty is slow as hell and will get beat a lot. Jacob is gonna drop some clangers like yesterday cuz he’s still young & inexperienced. Fats will occasionally come up against a guy like small who is just as fast and stronger. Soumare will never be the player we want him to be. Skippy is not worth 25 mill. Faes is what he is. Nothing is gonna change regarding these players we have to accept. The club has to buy better that’s the only solution.what we have to be really really careful about is protecting our youth players and not let the hostility affect them. If it does it will damage their confidence at a time when they need it the most. Monga is the most vulnerable and yet he’s our most prized player!

Can still access the post via his Story, but the post itself isn't showing on his feed right now.

I hear where he's coming from, and him saying this shows more leadership than anyone else in this squad right now. I can't fault his effort yesterday. However, by all accounts fans weren't leaving early in their droves, so not sure where he's got that from.

These things are reciprocal: Players show effort on the pitch, supporters get behind them...and vice versa. Unfortunately, it feels like the fans have put in a lot more than the players for a while now. There's little credit in the bank, and thus patience.

I think he was probably trying to make a seperate point in general but his English got mixed up

True of some fans, less of others. Early leavers*, happy clappers and the mute disengaged are turning out, but are offering nothing by way of real support

(*Yeah yeah circumstances)

I think the post probably subtly points to something else more important though - the growing disconnect between the players and fans.

I have no doubt that the players know what’s been posted on here about them all summer.

To be fair the players arent to blame for the running of the club.

From my own point of view, the picture I see is fans disconnected from the club as a whole, I blame the club lack of communication for this, not the players.

Fans disgruntled with on the pitch performances, but blaming the players, and recent managers, whilst letting the owner and DoF of the hook (as we know on here the majority in the stadium think they gods).

The away end was still full, hence players like Hamza having to be dragged away for arguing with fans lol.

That said, Abdul is bottom of the shit list so I’ll let him off.

Arguing with the fans didn't see that what was that about?

Presumably for getting booed and Hamza thinks it’s not warranted…

I get what he’s trying to say but when we have players cupping ears at the fans and not celebrating goals it’s very hard to take a criticism. The club doesn’t deserve us right now and tbh neither do the players.

The only person who deserves more from us right now is Marti. But everyone else who’s been involved in the last year or more needs to earn it back.

Fatawu surely has nothing to prove for us. Just came back from an ACL and clearly cares about the club. The only thing you can criticise him for is trying too hard and losing his head sometimes.

Still he's one of the few that can keep his head held high.

Yes but it’s a team sport. Our reactions to the ‘team’ are completely justified.

The players need to look inwards before they moan at the fans.

Abdul has a lot of good grace with the fan base and does seem to care.  He is young, posted that most likely when angry and emotions running and high maybe not mature enough to process the response fully.

He needs to redirect it at his team mates.  JJ and whoever can like his post but he is part of the rot on the pitch.

The situation has gone beyond having a go at the ownership situation now though - there is plenty of abuse to be found directed towards players on here and social media.

Now many will say that abuse is justified… but I think it’s gone beyond just opinions now and the fan base is becoming toxic too - to the extent there’s even a very vocal criticism towards those fans that simply want to support their team.

This reads like a post that was sent without thinking after a game when Abdul got absolutely pocketed by his fullback. He put in maximum effort but just had a bit of a mare. There was no questioning his effort and that can’t be said for all of the players yesterday. Small had an excellent game and won the battle and that’s annoyed Fatawu who’s vented on the fans. He’ll hopefully have a point to prove against Charlton.

He has a fair point. If fans demand passion and pride from the players but are leaving with 15 minutes to go, it's not like they are showing the same desire themselves is it.

He's entitled to speak his mind, and as long as he gives his best on the pitch I think he has the right to hold us to the same standard.

He is still young himself, and he had 6 months out with a bad injury. So even with his level of talent there will be inconsistencies.

What I took from that message was him asking us to pitch in alongside the players especially in games where were playing poorly. That's what we used to do.

This true?

Who else was arguing?

Good for him, and he’s not wrong really, it’s toxic at the moment between players and fans. Faes was again booed onto the pitch in that game as well, It was clear in midweek that the players weren’t happy with the fans, weren’t celebrating goals.

There are more deserving targets of ire up in the exec box at the KP imo.

You know what, I absolutely despise some of our fanbase. The kind of ones he's talking about in that little paragraph he's done. The family stand and west stand especially have the kind of fans I just don't understand. I used to travel down from college in Nottingham on my own and be the last to leave, sometimes getting home about midnight. Don't want a medal, just never understood their attitude.

But the fact they're even talking about this as players on a day like yesterday is indicative of everything wrong with this club. **** you you entitled little shits. If you think a few hundred people not in their seats is the issue with ten minutes to go and not your ****ing shit attitude then get ****ing real.

Get that ****ing chip off your shoulder and start ****ing playing for this club or leave. You won't go to Barcelona or Valencia like your slimy bullshit agents are telling you. Absolutely despise what these tossers are getting away with and still you'll have morons defend Top and Rudkin. I feel like nothing will get done and I'm seeing my club just slowly killing itself. It's a disgrace.

If these players show 100% effort and commitment every game I think most Leicester fans will be behind them. Show some of this never quit spirit as I’m not seeing it. The issue is there are some talented individuals in this squad but you have to question whether some of the put in the effort. If every player played to 100% of their ability we wouldn’t lose to Preston, not even close. I can take bad games, bad performances, even genuinely shit players, what I cant take is players jogging like a training session.

We need fight on the pitch, and less keyboard warriors. After travelling that far, I don’t blame anybody for leaving early - and why should they stay if Winks and Co are heading straight down to tunnel so they can get an Aperol Spritz before the sun goes down?

That performance didn’t warrant an applause.

😂 I definitely don't disagree with the performance.

My response for when players/managers complain about lack of support during crunch moments is "give us something to foking cheer then". How are we supposed to get excited when it's the 90th minute and a goal down and Faes/vesty are playing lovely intricate passes in their own box

Fatawuu is pretty much our best player when fit, he has more credit in the bank than many so he gets a pass from me.

I dont really think what he is saying is that bad its just honest and truthful.

Most of the others tho (Faes, Winks) can pi55 off if they think the fans owe them anything. They need to get there head down and crack on getting paid a fortune and have the cheek to give it to fans, constantly push for moves, disrespectful to the club….. get on with it no other club wants you cos your feckin shite, we pay your wages so crack on and keep quiet And do what is expected of a PROFESSIONAL that gets paid to do a job
