Does anyone have a link to the goals, highlights or even a recording of the game? I had to go to the feed store and get chicken feed :(

We need to move him on. Spurs let Winks go because they had Skipp who was incredibly similar. Literally only Leicester would be stupid enough to buy both.

Winks rep is still high enough we could move him on for a few million and it’d be fine PSR wise. Rangers might be good off ramp

I’m still convinced a Prem team might see him as a good squad player in the right team and that might save us.

They know we would accept a low offer, Prem experience and a low wage. Hopefully he goes.

I'm not judging him off last season as the whole team was wretched. I'm also not judging him off 45 minutes of a pre season friendly. I've also never actually said he's good enough. I merely pointed out that he won't be going anywhere so he's going to be in our squad this season whether we want him or not.

OK, he's going nowhere? Fine he can go nowhere whilst sitting at home. It's a sunk cost fallacy to put him on the pitch again for us at this point, he is so far below the level we need. Again he is very much akin to Ward where even though he cost us a wedge it only hurts us more to play him.

Im not judging him off last season either, it was common knowledge amongst Spurs fans that Skipp lost a lot of his footballing ability following his injuries yet we still went out and bought him for a hefty fee.

We paid over 20m for Skipp - wow. What does he offer, seriously?

We paid 5m for Goulding and he's a youngen who was miles above skipp

Extremely worried about Skipp, I hope.he just had a terrible season last season and he shines this season because he is looking like he could make top 5 of our worst signings ever

Good exercise that. Didn't expect it, to be honest, after last season's charade of a pre-season. Two different teams playing two different systems, both getting the ball forward much earlier and more often than we've had to endure the last few years. Might only have been Peterborough but well done Andy King. Sorted things out well today.

I’m actually quite surprised  Wanya Marcal is still with us.. it looked like he had a chance to break through a couple of years ago and I’m surprised  it didn’t give him the taste for more on a regular basis..

There are players that we all know we'd like to go, VK, Soumare, Vestegaard, Faes etc, but 65% to 70% of the squad ?

What players from the academy that played today do you think are ready? For me

Nelson. Monga, Alves, possibly Golding?

Nelson, Aluko, Alves, Page, Monga and Evans. There's others too not far behind.

There's a legitimate question about whether or not they're better being squad players here or starting players on loan in League One, though, tbf.

He was one of those weird ones we'd thrown a contract at for no reason, Enzo had alluded to an attitude problem and dropped him then we went and gave him the contract the week after. Peak Rudkin which went a bit under the radar due to the positive vibes at the club at the time.

To be fair he had an injury-riddled season out on loan, so he's a bit of a mystery. Thought he looked ok if a bit raw last time out, if he's got his head down and wants to push on he might be a squad option, if not likely to threaten the first XI. Let's be real though, he's only still here because we gave him a contract off the back of a handful of senior appearances.

Most of them don't currenntly have professional contracts (Monga, Evans, Page, Aluko), so I wouldn't have thought they can go on loan. Happy to be corrected.

Only preseason and game1 in but Aluko impressed me today.

It is promising that we should have a few lads (Aluko, Page, Monga, Evans ) around the first team squad this season.

Wins a win. But more importantly winning breeds confidence, something you cannot buy.

Nelson and Alves already had Championship loans. Nelson was a starter for Oxford whenever he was available and would've played the whole season if not for a pretty serious injury. No way either of those are going to League One.

I'd expect Nelson, of all of them, to have the most impact on the first team, yeah.
