Been much better this half without them

The difference in class between Winks, Skipp, Golding and Soumare (yes soumare), Page and Alves is astonishing.

Absolutely night and day yet you will still have people claiming that Winks and Skipp arent horrible.

Great crop of youngsters, and maybe they’ll get more of an opportunity now the first team set up has totally collapsed in recent years, but then part of me wonders just how good these kids are? Could they have thrived in the PL?

I generally think we look better then the majority of the friendlies under Cooper.

Cooper’s pre-season was shambolic - in theory it was so bad the club would have had justification to sack him before the season kicked-off!

Can’t take pictures unless he’s in the gym

Can't get carried away  but youngsters doing well always brings a bit of positivity around the place.

I really hope we can find the balance of signing some more experienced and giving these youngsters a chance.

Yes, but in fairness to the goblin, it wasn't until about 2 or 3 games in, against better opposition, that we truly looked like we were making an effort to play entirely in our own half.

Early days.

I liked seeing Golding, Silko, Alves, Nelson, Aluko, all looked sharp, senior players that impressed JJ, Winks, Stephy

Winks ffs, there's a reason the ball didn't progress throught midfield when he was on. He's been terrible for us for over a season now.

Winks was brilliant in Enzos system last time we were in the championship but I fear he's a limited player and if our new manager doesn't play a system that suits him then he either won't play or will be shite. Skipp was very good at Norwich a few seasons back.

We can't be making judgements on players though after 1 pre season game.

Decent run-out in which our academy stars really shone.

Really impressed with Nelson, Monga, Page and Aluko. Would want them in the first team environment next season.

Alves on the ball looked great - needs a bit of fine tuning off it.

Marcal frustrating as produces great moments but lets himself down by making simple errors.

With regards to seniors, Okoli looked good and was nice to see Winks back. Ricardo will be class above if plays inverted again. Mavididi looked sharp. Both lbs looked off it to me. Skipp doesn’t suit the more advanced role when RP inverts.

Positive all in all.

Luke Thomas was very good.

Decent run out.

The only weak links were the previous rejects, Kristiansen, Soumare, etc.

All Leicester developed squad to start the season would be fine by me.

It's preseason so we can't take too much from the result, but how can you not be impressed with Aluko, Page, Monga and Joseph in that second half? One of the best players in the first half was Ben Nelson!

Exciting times if we embrace the young players.

“He got on the wrong train from Sheffield? Where is he now? STRANRAER?!?! WHAT’S HE DOING IN STRANRAER?!?!”

Looking forward to John Rudkin's Big Pink Paradise in the concourse next season.
