Oh come on….. Alex Neil? He managed to get a properly shot QPR team playing some okay football, has kept them up and has promoted youth. He’s a damn site better than the likes of Alex Neil.

Neil and Rowett have had as many failures as they’ve had successes in the football league. You’ve chucked Eustace in to give yourself a defence there. 
 

It’s a positive to see us hire a manager that is about as close to the last success we had in this league and definitely has a potentially significantly higher ceiling than any of those you mention. 
 

He’s been coaching/managing for over 20 years. He promotes youth, he likes passing possession football but with forward not sideward movements. And he’s worked on a shoestring and signed some cracking free signings for QPR. He also knows Scandinavian leagues where we can potentially unearth resealable gems.

 

He ticks just about every box I (and I imagine many others) had this season.

What people don’t seem to be getting is QPR were royally ****ed after Ainsworth and were pretty much nailed on to go down. He came in and pretty much revived them from the first compression. His stats over the year and a bit there aren’t mesmerising but where he’s left them after where he found them, you can’t argue that he worked wonders there, gets nowhere near enough credit for me. He’s actually a perfect fit for us on paper, he has Enzos squad to play the same kind of system, brings through youth.

Pleased to have a manager. Not overly impressed by what I’ve seen on paper re: his background but he also seems to be someone with an idea and knows how to slum it - we’ll need that. 
 

Not at all surprised we need to sell to buy. Despite how shit this lot were last year, at this moment we have a squad far too good for this level, no way we can go again with that strength and given the way it went last year, it’s in our interest to sell before buying. 
 

Hoping we keep one or two with the ex factor.
