Okoli. I think he'll be a beast.

Bilal. He will be a massive asset, along with Fats

Time will tell, but I like what I see so far.

CBA to do the whole lot but I have never been so unsure as to what to expect.

Excited to see the youngsters and think a few of the senior pros who have been on the fringes might do well, I’ve got a feeling Skipp will boss this league.

Your mood in 10 words? - Never been less excited. Rudkin out. Top, sell the club.

 

Where will we finish? - After seeing how garbage Brum and Ipswich were yesterday, I think I've been overestimating the competition. I still think we get 4th / 5th and we bottle the playoffs semi, but wouldn't be surprised if we scrape automatics despite a deduction.

 

How many points will we be deducted? 9, reduced to 6 after arbitration.

 

Who will be our most important player? - Fatawu. So glad he's back and looking fired up, we've missed him.

 

Who will be top scorer? - Kone if we sign him, if not I'm pretty sure Ayew will bag 15+ in this league.

 

What are you most excited about? - A break from the Premier League. As much as we SHOULD be there, I've grown to hate everything it represents.

 

What are you most worried about? - Failure to achieve promotion leading to what little talent is left in the squad (Fatawu, Monga, Nelson etc) being poached, leading to terminal decline.

 

What’s one thing you most want to see this season? - Cifuentes connecting with the fanbase. We were getting there with Enzo, but otherwise Shakey / Ranieri was the last time it happened.

 

Which player is going to surprise us? - In a good way, Luke Thomas. Was growing in confidence at the back end of last season and with a bit of man management could become one of the best fullbacks in the league. In a bad way - if he stays, I reckon Faes will continue to put in brainfarts and stinkers despite everyone saying he's 'good enough for this league'.

 

Which player do you most want out the door? - Faes. Would gladly have him on loan somewhere for the season so his crap attitude doesn't stink up the dressing room.

 

Which player linked with a move are you most desperate to keep? - None.  Genuinely not as bothered as others about BEK's likely departure, think we've got good options in his position and the money will be handy. Now if a lower half prem team comes in for Nelson as a squad option, that's when I'll get worried.

 

Will Martí Cifuentes still be the manager this time next year? - Yes. And he should be if there's clear progression in shaping the squad and style, regardless of if we get promoted or not. Miss me with the chop-and-change please.

8th, mentally preparing for a second season in the Championship.

9. EFL (and Premier League) will want to make a BIG example of us. Nick can't save us a second time.

 

Who will be our most important player?

Fatawu. A squad deprived of proven goalscorers will the star winger to step up.

 

Who will be top scorer?

Not going to be Daka is it? Fatawu is a safe bet.

 

What are you most excited about?

The youth coming through the ranks, and seeing what Cifuentes can do.

 

What are you most worried about?

Not having an quality striker. May as well call us a shittier Arsenal.

More communication or actual financial competence at the top.

Okoli. Looked good in preseason, hoping it carries through the season.

You only want one? Faes. I could name at least three more.

El Khannouss, but he's going in any case. Too good for us.

Hopefully. We need some actual stability for a change, every system needs time to bed in.

Our forward options/ wingers are very exciting for this level. With Martis high press expecting a lot of rotation & minutes between all of Mav/ Monga, Fatawu/ McAteer, Bilal/ Alves/ Page and Ayew/ Daka.

 

What are you most worried about?

Not utilising our academy players enough and them getting disillusioned and leaving.

 

What’s one thing you most want to see this season?

Seeing some of the academy players breakthrough. Nelson could be our CB for years to come.

Ayew - think he’s looked decent in pre season.

Hopefully whoever we sign but this is by far the biggest problem. Currently Ayew or maybe Mavididi if we're lucky? 

 

What are you most excited about?

I'm not really although I do think Cifuentes will play some fun football. 

 

What are you most worried about?

Watching Cov go up above us. 

 

What’s one thing you most want to see this season?

Er, promotion? 

 

Which player is going to surprise us?

Good surprise? I can see Skipp growing in to it at this level.

 

Bad surprise? I can see Monga not really being ready. 16 is super young, his body has loads of development still to do, in particular he needs to gain pace and power. Think he'll have the problems Yunus did in this league being technical and lacking athleticism. Hopefully the fans are patient. 

 

Which player do you most want out the door?

I'm usually very vocal about not judging players personally. We aren't trained psychologists and if we were we'd say don't judge someone from afar anyway. But there's something extremely off-putting about Wout Faes' body language and attitude and I'm just ****ing sick of watching him looking around incredulous after we've conceded and it was his fault. 

 

Which player linked with a move are you most desperate to keep?

BEK is far too good for this league. He's far more technically gifted than KDH, I don't think he'll score as many but he'll absolutely run the game. If we can sign a quality goal scorer without selling him, I think he COULD be the difference between play offs and autos. 

 

I can't see him staying though. 

 

Will Martí Cifuentes still be the manager this time next year? 

Yeah probably. I don't think anything that happens will be his fault and I don't see him doing well enough to get poached inside a year. Enzo was quite a freak situation.

It’s all dependant on the points deduction. I’ve seen nothing that can stop us winning the league. Top 6 for sure.

I would say 9 is likely, but hoping for 6 as best case scenario.

Luke Thomas. Certainly capable at this level, has bulked up a bit. Needs consistent games, there’s something there for sure.

Probably Faes. Often seems like he can’t be arsed, would also make an easier pathway for my preferred centre half pairing of Okoli and Nelson.
