Sly Posted 15 August 2025 Posted 15 August 2025 (edited) https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/exclusive-wrexham-afc-plot-new-leicester-city-transfer-raid-hamza-choudhury/ Wrexham are plotting a move for Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury, sources have exclusively informed Football League World. The Red Dragons have certainly made a real statement to the rest of the Championship this summer by being one of the top spenders in the entire division after being promoted from League One, with their latest acquisition being a £10 million package deal for Ipswich Town forward Nathan Broadhead. Kieffer Moore, Lewis O'Brien and Conor Coady are among the other names that have arrived in North Wales this summer, and their recruitment shows no signs of slowing down, with just two-and-a-half weeks left of the transfer window. Wrexham AFC eyeing up move for Leicester City's Hamza Choudhury FLW has been told that Wrexham are lining up a further addition to their midfield ranks, and a name firmly on their radar is Leicester City's Hamza Choudhury, having already headed to the East Midlands to land Coady earlier this summer. The 27-year-old, who switched international allegiances earlier this year to Bangladesh, appears to be on the fringes of new Foxes boss Marti Cifuentes' starting 11 plans this season based on his first Championship starting line-up against Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday, but he did start and score from right-back against Huddersfield Town in the EFL Cup earlier this week - and even captained the side too. Parkinson though is now seemingly looking to bring Choudhury to the SToK Cae Ras ahead of the transfer window closing on September 1, although it remains to be seen if Leicester will be willing to strike a deal with their divisional rival. Leicester loaned Choudhury out to Sheffield United in January 2025, with the Blades pushing for promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking, and he appeared 19 times for them - including playing every single minute of their play-off campaign - as the Yorkshire side narrowly fell short in the final at the hands of Sunderland. Hamza Choudhury's Leicester City contract situation as Wrexham AFC eye up move Having come through Leicester's academy system, Choudhury has been at the Foxes for 20 years now, having joined the club in 2005 as a child. Feasibly though, his time at the club could soon come to an end thanks to the options they have in midfield and defence when everyone is fully fit, having played 132 times for the club since his debut in September 2017. Choudhury though still has two years remaining on his contract at the King Power Stadium, having signed his most recent deal in September 2023, so Wrexham will have to stump up a decent fee if they want to sign the Bangladesh international permanently - unless they can strike a loan deal with City. ozvaldo Posted 15 August 2025 Posted 15 August 2025 I’d take £200k just to get him gone. I’ve never seen a more incompetent player with such a huge swagger. The way he half-arse answered questions in Wednesday’s post-match interview l, taking no accountability for his mistakes, tells you everything about him. 2
LE3_Fox Posted 15 August 2025 Posted 15 August 2025 Watch him become the midfield destroyer he always wanted to be 1 1
STUHILL Posted 15 August 2025 Posted 15 August 2025 SELL But, we have to get rid of Soumare and Skipp too. We are going to need 3 CM's arriving and that is only if we keep Winks too

Anyone who isn't part of a longer term aim should go even if he was the team needs a massive refresh so do the fans who have become sick and bored of watching the same players making the same mistakes and that is accepting that new players will be making mistakes. Foxes need a refresh. Do it Top! 3
Gravel Posted 15 August 2025 Posted 15 August 2025 We can look forward to chanting "Lestah rejects!" when Wrexham turn up at our place and then get thoroughly depressed as they batter us 4-0. 1 3
MaidstoneFox Posted 15 August 2025 Posted 15 August 2025 As Neil Warnock said in Talksport this week : "Interesting dressing room with Coady and Windass". This would add to it.

We certainly cant refresh without moving players on. 2
