Is he a good championship level player?
I’m not convinced he is.
What does he offer apart from occasionally a decent tackle and majority of the time fouling players.

I believe he is. As a destroyer he’s very competent at this level.

I’d go so far as to say that of all our midfielders he’s the only one in the past two seasons to not bottle a tackle (with the exception of KDH). I wouldn’t trust any of the current midfield to win a 50/50 or even a 70/30.

That’s not necessarily a reason to keep him but more of a damining indictment of the rest.

Not perfect, but I don't get the vitriol against Choudhury and besides, why strengthen a rival?

Plenty of reasons on and off the field. Fine if it doesn't bother some people but strange that they don't understand those feelings others have.

Poor on the ball, can guarantee he dives in too often and questionable of the field history.

Happy to sell for anything over £3m if I’m honest

Ok….so let’s keep him because he wins a few tackles that he shouldn’t.
Is that the level we’re at now? I genuinely give up if that’s what where we are now.

No. That’s not what I said.

Limited player but his energy in midfield will surely be needed at some point. Skipp and Soumare will be in comas before long if they move any slower. We should also be demanding silly money for a player for.once. None of this 2-3 million.

I think a lot on here will get a big shock this season. You could be one of them.

If Choudhury is the level we ought to keep, then yes I'm in for a shock this season.

Happy to sell. Never really seen what he adds to the side apart from the odd decent performance that are few and far between.

We definitely haven't had our money's worth out of what he's cost us over the years so time to say goodbye.

As a side note though, imagine if Wrexham finish above us this year....

Positive me says selling anyone we get can live without, means we have more chance of keeping our stars. Naive I know.

This isn't a refresh btw, it's a reset. KP have no money.

Made his debut 8 years ago. Hasn't been a regular in any of those 8 seasons. Allegedly on decent wages, too. Not good enough to start regularly at CM or RB. Time to move him on.

I'd sell him for peanuts just to get him off the wage bill. Should never have had a contract extention.

If we can get a few million for him as well then absolutely wonderful.

My only real fear is that time is running out and we show no real signs of reinforcing. It's okay selling all of these guys but eventually someone does have to come in.

The squad might be "big" but it's big because we've got a lot of dross. It's actually paper thin and as much as Choudhury is painfully average, painfully average is actually better than some of our other options. I'd genuinely rather he play than Skipp and Soumare, frankly, and he's probably a better RB option than Justin if the RB is being asked to sit in, be inverted and not get down the line.

I hope the likes of Page and Aluko would be able cover. What I saw of Page on Wednesday night, he looked better than both Skipp and Soumare. I know that's a low bench mark and it's only half a game, but these are the talents, along with Alves and Monga we should be investing time in.

Every now and again can look sensational, so i imagine a good highlights reel can be put together. But he can go from good to appalling pretty quicky, and when he off it its as if hes not on the pitch.

Only ever going to be a squad option, and he wont get better. Time to move on.

My point was not about Choudhury or any one player. This whole squad ain't at the level people think we are. Some think we will go up or just miss out because of a points deduction.

I don't see anything in this squad that says even a top half finish will happen. We could also lose our best players still.
