We could get Topps Tiles back and have that little tile guy on the front waving!

Or even Top’s Tiles as a PSR smokescreen.  That way the homunculus could have his picture on the shirt…keep him happy for a bit!

Isn't that because they part own Leeds, so probably paying over the odds?

The deals have to be a market value I believe. So a company couldn't just pay a billion to Man City for example.

LOROS for free.

Simple.

It'd be great publicity for the club, too - having a struggling but well-respected local health charity in their thoughts in front of the media etc.

Love the LOROS idea, but does anybody actually know why we don't have a sponsor?  Is there a reason or is it just more mismanagement?

Does the club have any current betting sponsorships?

@AjcW is your go to for this.

There's a thread here discussing it at length.

But this is LCFC we're talking about, so yeah - Occam's razor and all that.

Perhaps an unpopular opinion, if Walkers sponsored us today without any prior history, the majority would say it’s a “horrible logo to have on the shirt and it looks fvck ugly”. People only want it out of nostalgia. At least it would be above board mind.

Agreed - always hated that logo, but seeing as everything retro is now cool, and if teams are putting retro club badges on shirts, then surely we can do the same with the sponsor...

We had the whole range at one point or another....

(And having been to the States in '96 & '97 and seen this on their bags of their tasteless idea of what a crisp was, that last logo was never a proper Leicester logo, but a c**p American logo Pepsico used to homogenize the brand)

A top end championship deal can be up to 5-8 million, so its a decent amount when its pure profit to the club.

For example the Red Bull shirt sponsorship value for Leeds United is approximately £8 million per year, as reported in August 2024.

Fair enough. I remember reading that Walker's offer was >£1m that 'bc game' supposedly beat, but wasnt sure where that line was drawn.

Would still rather us be sponsorless/charity sponsored rathen than yet another betting company, mind, even if the money is good...

We know it will either stay blank until April or it will be some betting company set up 4 weeks ago out of Pyongyang announced in the next month.

They wouldn't do LOROS. They would promote King Power of course. Maybe the ongoing issues in Thailand are stopping something.

I get that this would be nice but considering our financial/PSR predicament wouldn't it be a bit stupid.

Seemingly our transfer business should have steadied the PSR ship somewhat so we could have a sensible sponsor, as opposed to fake gambling companies, but it's still a viable revenue stream.

No.

Short sales would increase, it could potentially be deductable in a "look what we have charitably donated" way and were the EFL to charge us, they'd look extra bad going for the club had invested in their local community rather than take a dollop of money.

I actually think it would help us on that front, not least because any potential sponsorship is likely to be paltry.

the same people saying leave it blank will be raging if come January there's no money to spend and we need a player, get the biggest deal they can done and signed and the extra money in the accounts

Well after the clear out we've had. People seem happy with the incomings. Our league position could not be much better.

I'd personally say don't get one, we're doing fine without one let's not spoil it.

The reason we have a sponsor is for monetary reasons - so this is a bit daft, of course we need one.

I like the idea of LOROS, but it won't bring in any money - what they could do is negotiate a normal commercial sponsor but have LOROS plastered around the ground, collection boxes, 1% from ticket sales etc etc would go a long way to help a local charity.

If no one is interested in us it wouldn't matter.

It was said tongue in cheek. Like having a sponsor would have made any difference to what's happened or will happen on a football front. Obviously it will from a financial point.
