How anyone expected JJ to start is beyond me, he met the manager and the squad for the first time 48 hours ago, and our two centre midfielders had their best game for us in the last fixture.

I still don't think Skipp and Soumare were particularly good against Birmingham and they've set a phenomenally low bar but maybe I'm being overly harsh

Laughing at everyone going into meltdown because BDR has shown up as the McAteer replacement.

It's not exactly the role with the highest level of responsibility, is it?

Anyone surprised by BDCR being back in the squad didn’t listen/watch Martì’s interview… he basically said he bloody loves him!

Shame to see Page lose his place in the squad and that Reid is back

Cifuentes has praised BDCR and mentioned Page will likely miss out. No surprise here.

No Nelson in squad, marti don’t rate him does he?

He constantly says he rates him very highly, but I assume he rates Vestergaard more in possession and defending. He's said that the pairing matters, so Okoli is pretty much a cert because he can cover better than any of the others.

It’s such a horrible set of names isn’t it lol

I was actually going to say I'm astonished at how strong the squad still looks despite all the departures. That bench would be the envy of all clubs outside the top 2 or 6.

This team more or less battled well against Charlton, I’m expecting similar today. So I’m not unhappy with this team. There’s also options on the bench to turn the screw when needed.

Welcome Jordan.

I’m already looking forward to the Soumare & Skipp midfield pairing against Oxford.

Could be a 'My mate is the ref' moment, but I think BDCR will do alright in this league. Ruud or Cooper didn't get much out of him but they didn't get much out of anyone else either, hopelly Marti will

He actually said he was alright and will probably be available

True, I just interpreted it as 'he's fine, but we probably won't risk him'.

Thought he had a minor niggle ?

Pretty sure I'd seen something, although can't remember where tbh that said he'd picked up a knock.  Though given I can't recall where, it was probably bullshit or outdated.  But in this instance, bizarrely I'd prefer it to be the case.

Still a stinking midfield.  Fatawu needs Ricardo to play and Hamza just blasts the ball from deep and expects him to do something with scraps.  Okoli and Hamza need to wise up with their passing as well.

Ramsey, Fatawu and Mav contain all the attacking talent so it’s on them, avoid Ayew in any build up and they will be fine.

Hopefully it’s a good team performance rather than individual moment of skill.
