As soon as we matched their effort, we were the better team - Even with 10 men.

 

So frustrating to watch. Start every game in 2nd gear.

 

Marti seriously needs to think about the midfield pairing as well. Just not working at all at the moment.

Two things will save us this season 

 

1. The poor standard of the Championship

 

2. The strength of our squad, i.e being able to bring on Winks, James, Ricardo etc. 

Marti needs to start our best players, and as soon as he does that, we should be winning most games. 

 

He is currently starting us in games with 1 hand tied behind our back, and he must change that for our next game.

People talk about dangerous play and endangering the opponent etc, if that's the case then the challenge by Phillips on Thomas where he nearly broke his neck surely would be more deserving of a red card? And that was a deliberate act where he made no attempt to play the ball whereas Ramsey clearly went for the ball and mistimed it.

Was I imagining things or, after Ricardo was brought on, were he and Hamza alternating who was playing in midfield and who was playing wing back?

Would imagine we will see James, Winks and Riccy P become starters before long which will strengthen us significantly moving the ball forward.

Skipp looked a smidgen better once Brainfartkare Snoozemare got hooked at half time. Not really saying much though, he was still average at best. But I can appreciate he was putting a bit of a shift in, as did a lot of the lads today despite a lack of quality all over the pitch.

 

Ricky P and Winks changed the game again - we looked like the team with the man advantage for much of the second half. Can see the logic in trying Daka with the change of shape, but I hope to god we don't start to see a BDCR redemption arc, he's the answer to a question nobody asked.

 

Shoutout to Jordan James though, he's going to be quality for us.

Winks and Ricardo will change any game as they are good players who have footballing ability and intelligence. I would love to see an average Skipp performance, your assessment is being generous.  Completely brain dead player.  
 

He plays football like a dog, when he goes to make a tackle he seems to run to where the player was, then confused as the ball has moved.  In the first half he picked up the ball in midfield, no one in front and he runs at an angle where his brain cell brother was standing still and then walked into his path and the ball ends up nowhere. 
 

He could’ve won the game if he took the clear chances he had to shoot. Brain dead, doesn’t have the instinct or think to try something. He also got the ball in a nice build up close to goal, he blasts it backwards first time when he could’ve tried to control it. It suddenly ended up with the donkeys at the back defending. 

 

Too many of the team want to pass back and sideways without even bothering to look where they are passing.

I think the better players are starting to emerge now. I'd hope over time we can move towards a team that sees Ricardo, Winks, James starting and shining. 

 

I remain unconvinced by Okoli too. I like his attitude but can't help but think Faes would be a significant upgrade and we know he works well alongside Vesty.

Needs to be the end of the Skippmare experiment. Soumare has one good game in ten and Skipp looks like a competition winner.

His obsession with Ayew is he's the best we have.
