The officials were shite - let’s get that out the way.

From our perspective, good fight shown to battle back with 10 men - could have gone on to win it.

Subs did really well. They should have given Marti some decisions to make ahead of Cov. Next week I would go with:

Stolarcyzk

Ricardo

Faes

Vestergaard

Thomas

Winks

James

Fatawu

Ayew

Mavididi

Daka

10 against 11 ... an opponent who will be in League 1 next year ...

There's very little to be learned from this match.  Outside of reinforcing the already painfully obvious need to change in midfield.

Why would anyone start with Daka?

Given the circumstances, a draw is a good result.

Coming back from one goal down with a one-man disadvantage should be encouraging.

Unlucky debut for Ramsay. Challenge was unnecesary, he was overeager to play and impress.

Soumaré's own goal... :teehee:

Stolarczyk's "intent" before conceding the opener...

The starting squad still needs tweaking. Skipp isn't first eleven material for me, as is Soumaré.

Looking forward to seeing James and Carranza play against Cov.

Start Riccy, Winks and Wout we would be a much better side.

People don't won't want to accept it but Winks and Wout walk in this side.

Yep.

I reckon add James to that and we have a half decent side at this level.

We’ve got to admit we are just a very average side

In a very average league.

Cifuentes got carried away with the wins in the last couple of games.  The starting 11 looked very iffy, even before the red card.

It was a marginal call, but after Ricardo's escape in the previous match, we can't really complain.

Once Ricardo and Winks, who showed their international experience and quality well today, came on, we competed far more and deserved the point.

Given that Cov - even with 11 men - couldn't win at that venue, the outcome isn't quite as bad as some are making out.

The point is okay in the circumstances. The win was there for the taking but we didn't create a great deal. Oxford were appalling and came out in that second half with such a negative mindset.

Yes

Behave. It was a late challenge. Went for the ball and mistimed it. No malice, wasn't high and was a yellow and free kick all day long. Why are so many so accepting of the game becoming a none contact sport.

I called it as red as soon as it happened. Admittedly looked worse in real time than it did in the replays

Ayew was one of our better player. He is guilty of holding on to the ball sometimes but for the most part, he looked like the only Leicester player who was interested in getting us up the field or taking a shot.

he is entirely the worst player to have in the situation of being down to 10. ok, he wasn't as bad as he typically is but he turns playing with 10 into playing with 9 as he's always 20 yards behind every attack. Where the ball comes to him deep sure, he can get us moving forwards, but not usually quickly enough to pose optimal threat

Impressed that we showed some fight with 10 men, but very underwhelmed by our complete inability to dominate a poor championship side at any point over the 90 minutes.

Ricky P just needs to start games now. Winks too.

Mavididi needs to pull his finger out and, whilst I don't mind Thomas at all, I do hope Kristinesen comes in soon and offers more. We've also got 4 very decent CBs at this level but can't help but feel there's a better combo available.

I suspect we'd have won if we'd had 11 players but it certainly would've been very close, and I think that illustrates how far off we are from 2 years ago.

Replace Okoli, JV, Soumare, Skipp and Ayew and we have a football team that can pass forwards.

Skipp, Soumare and Daka have zero footballing intellect.  To play them over any one else puts us at a disadvantage.

Ayew would be better if he was a team player but he isn’t and he will never be, so for that I don’t want to see him play if we have better,

Not sure how we are still playing with such a passive and negative style.

Winks and Ricardo made the difference.  JV kills any move out of the back with his constant slowing down and then blasting into Ayew or the void of the Skippmare.
