James (:fc:), Skipp, Page, Braybrooke, Cartwright & Alves as a number 10 could be a promising midfield next season.

All of them have different qualities and will give us plenty of options.

No way we keep James unless he absolutely loves being here and pushes for it.

The lad is 17!
Loved his cameo last night driving forwards and keeping the ball from Derby midfielder’s that have 10-11 years on him - a supreme young talent!

A midfield of Skipp, JJ and Page next season could be an incredibly energetic, fluid and exciting with BDR, Braybrooke and Cartwright/Alves all in the picture too potentially if the second half’s of the season go to plan

Alves? Made of glass and has proven nothing

Didn’t really agree with the shouts that he looked off the pace in his earlier season cameos anyway, but he looked well up to it last night. Manipulated the ball and used his body well. Should have been a bit more selfish and had a crack on goal late on.

I’m sure the same was said about Braybrooke after his failed Dundee loan to be fair.

True, but he has gone on and proved himself and not got injured again. Hope Alves does recover, but I cant see him being ready for next season when we have a few in front of him

Looks like a classy player. Reckon he is more of an 8 than a 10, though.

Agreed, he’s good for this Enzo system - and Marti’s poor imitation of it, where two from the midfield attack the box from deeper areas, but if he was to play for a manager that plays with one out and out 10 he’d get found out in that position I feel.

When we were trying to close out the game, he was good at slowing the play down and helping us retain the ball and pass back.  That's some good mature experience for someone who is only 17.

Bringing through youth players may help us getting him to sign.

Ship out the old guard and we look a different proposition.

Heard something interesting over Christmas, straight from a well known figure from the footballing world who 99% of football fans would have heard of. Not naming him directly out of respect. He does not have  Leicester connections in anyway so this has not come directly from our club.

He is part of a club who made contact with Louis Page representatives in the summer but for whatever reason it went no further than that.

he has been made aware that the club would be willing to listen to offers for Louis in January or the summer if any came in. He was quite clear that he has not been offered Louis but it is being touted around that the club have made it clear if the right offer came in they would sell.

made me think, we played Louis in the opening games of the season,  then once he signed a pro deal he disappeared abit. He’s now back around the squad. Did we play him to get him to sign? Are we now planning to play him to get some interest.

That did cross my mind at the time. It was literally just after he signed that he wasn't playing or in the squad, so had the same thought.

I think he's playing now, because we actually need him, but I get your point. Why would he be touted around and is this what is happening with all our youngsters. Monga, as an example, seems to be linked to every club going? Is that us.

Nothing surprises me about this club and if it is the case, it's a disgrace.

This reinforces my view that we (LCFC) are facing an existential threat.

Every possible sellable player is up for sale until we raise enough funds to cover the wage bill and running costs for 2026. And likely again for 2027. And at that point, we'll have an ever diminishing pool of sellable assets.

There's quite a few out of contract at the end of the season. Will get a lot of salary off the wage budget. Will help considerably on the financial side of things.

Correct. But even if we have the wage bill (unlikely) where's the money coming from? We've spent the parachute money.

They need the cash desperately. No sales = no cash for running costs. They can't even afford to pay stewards' food vouchers FFS.
