I would prefer James deeper alongside Winks, play Ayew at 10 and have Daka or Carrenza at 9 or play all three of Monga, Fatawu and Mavididi and get one to play in the middle

That too. Although It's usually the other way round with Lurch being left in the lurch, but at least the big lump still wants to play for us. If Nelson or Okoli was next to him he isn't a regular bombscare in the same way Faes is.

We've not actually seen Carranza properly. He's very short of first team football and for all we know he's about as convincing as Edouard.

Faes really is just the pits of defending at times. Our tempo is far too slow to put these under pressure but is there any wonder with a Faes, Vesty, Soumare love triangle.
