Not defending him at all but he also doesn't have the players to do much else. 4 4 2 doesn't work given how weak our midfield already is. 3 - 4 - 3 could work but just don't think we have a decent 3 at the back that he trusts.

We don’t have a decent back 4 either

I would at least be more willing towards him if he was trying something new

I genuinely believe if Ruud hadn't brought Monga into the team, Marti would've had him still playing in the academy. There's no reason Aluko and Nelson shouldn't be involved now. Marti has been a major disappointment.

I'm starting to think more is at play than we know about. Something is off.

I feel that at some point (after joining the club) Marti has been told that promotion is expected this season, so rather than a year to build the club involving youth players he now feels under pressure to use the experienced players to just get us up at all costs - which will obviously fail due to the poor quality

Can't work out why he won't play Nelson.

Removing the manager will do nothing for us whilst the chairman and the DoF are here, but I think if we fail to win any of the next 2, then he'll probably be sacked. Enter Russell Martin.

Nelson will be off.

Can’t have that. Really don’t get what Marti has seen in Faes and Vestegaard. There is no long term benefit to the 2 playing.
With Nelson we can have a player for the next 5+ years. Oxford fans said he is great. So what if he makes mistakes. Faes and vesteegard have for years, continuously. And constantly play. Nelson far more valuable to the club.

imagine a defense of

jakub

Ricardo / hamza

okoli

nelson

aluko

4 players from the academy! Brilliant and something to really support. Instead of these players who are here with pay checks far above cere about our club.

Whilst the ownership and running of the club is the bigger issue, it doesn't explain why Cifuentes hasn't played the style of football he talked about when he joined and why we've seen so little of players like Nelson

He has what he has !
Not backed whatsoever

It’s every “manager’s fault” we have.
In the meantime let’s not call out the chaos upstairs and let’s not hold our disastrous owner accountable for his can’t be bothered attitude. Just blame the manager !

Wow I can not for the life of me understand any fan that has the face to criticise Top or his family, they’re either Johnny come latelys or have exceedingly short memories. Rudkin on the other hand is fair game and hopefully recent changes mean that he won’t be around for much longer.

As for people wanting to change the manager again, what’s the point?, I can only assume they’re wanting us to bounce straight back and start the recent cycle again. We need to regroup and rebuild and prepare for next season, when hopefully we’ll be in a position to learn from past mistakes, get promoted and stay there. Any decision on the manager should wait until then.

Dear oh dear !
I’m lost for the words

What "he has" should still be producing better than 1 league win in 8 given the sides we've played.

The assumption that you have to apportion blame to either the manager OR the board and can't do BOTH is driving me ****ing insane

What are you on about, did you read what I actually said lol I've said the running of the club is the bigger issue, but it still doesn't change he hasn't done anything he said he would so far does it.

We lose this and he has to go. People can blame the players as much as they like, we are miles better than the likes of Blackburn but marti can't get the team, tactics, or motivation right. Pathetic.
